Hello all, hopefully I should be the proud new owner of a 3rd gen on friday!
Its going to be a 3.4 sr5 automatic. 210k miles and the previous owner had the timing belt and water pump changed 10k miles ago.
Anytime i get a new vehicle i always do all maintenance to give me peace of mind that everything is done. So when i pick it up in the next few weeks i will be changing all fluids, maybe some belts, and the spark plugs and wires. I just need advice on what to get!
Hopefully you guys can tell me if i have missed anything?
Oil change - probably will just go with a synthetic and i have read toyota filters are what is prefered?
transmission fluid - read that these trannys like the toyota brand (t-iv?) fluid? i will probably just do a drain and fill on the tranny.
rear and front diff fluids+transfer case - mobil1 75w-90?
coolant - was going to check if its red, if not flush it then fill with toyota coolant? do i need toyota coolant or should i just save a little and get some at the auto parts store?
spark plugs - ngk bkr5ekb-11 and some new wires(brand matter?)
I was also going to get an external transmission cooler to avoid the pink milkshake...any prefered coolers?
and of course i'll be doing the deck plate mod with a k&n soon also.
