New 4Runner owner!

Very nice. I just purchased a '19 T4R. My first vehicle that is not a Ford or Jeep as well. Love it!

Prospective 4Runner owner, needs help

I'm looking for a very specific combination of features in a 4runner. I've found one in the last several months, but unfortunately when I went to look at it I found it to have more rust than i thought was proper for a 2017. The vehicle is otherwise in very good shape, no body issues, one owner, and fairly clean otherwise.

I passed on it at the dealership after they put it up on the lift for me. I can post pics if it helps. I live in a rust-state (PA) and the vehicle is 1-owner from a northern PA state. Clearly the owner did nothing to mitigate rust (car wash, rinse, underbody treament, etc).

I need to know if this vehicle is a run-away situation or if it can be mitigated with treatments. If I do not purchase this vehicle, I'll have to spend around a $1k to repair my existing Jeep enough to pass inspection due at the end of the month. I keep my vehicles forever, so I refuse to compromise on certain aspects of my desired new vehicle, and the condition of this one just seemed like a deal-breaker, unless I'm making too big a deal over it.

Easier to mitigate rust from a vehicle that doesn't have any to start with. If you think it's been neglected I would pass.

Congrats! Nice vehicle. I went full circle with mine. My first new vehicle once I graduated from college and started working was a blue1986 4Runner with a black removable top. Now, at 55, I bought a 2019 silver 4Runner in April.

Congrats!!
I had an '87, sold it ages ago and always missed it...just picked up an 08 V8 limited this weekend....So glad I came back to Toyota
