New 4xInnovations Plate Bumper

The bumper comes with holes to mount to the factory frame ends on the early frames as well. There is quite a bit of strength there when used with the side mounts like we've always done for the tube bumpers.
 
I know the holes in the center are for accessing a winch, but if you aren't going to run a winch, is there any reason why you couldn't mount lights there instead?

Good question. Love the bumper but it looks funny with those odd shaped cuts outs being on the front for accessing the winch... Kind of an odd place to put them. Wonder if they can put access points somewhere else like on top of the bumper or something
 
I just ordered this bumper this morning on my way to pickup up my new to me 2000 limited 4runner. From what I see in the pics and specs it seems to be the best bang for my buck bumper I've ran across so far. I guess I'll find out when it arrives next month. I'll post up pics and a review when I do the install.
 
Id like to see a pic of one with the additional side hoops around the head lights before i hit the order button. Really like the way the odl hoops look, if the 4x looks similar to it im an owner.

He said he can customize the hoops so I'm sure if you asked for OL style hoops he'd give them to you.
 
I find it hard to believe we don't have any painted bumper pics yet. Really want to see this thing finished before ordering.

I would say check out the sale at ODL right now and you can have the Hoops you like instead of trying to get someone to copy them. Just saying... but we all know I am biased.
 
Pikeman - I feel for you. I got my 4xInnovations plate bumper a few weeks ago and just did the test fit prior to painting. It's pretty heavy and I needed two friends to balance it on my jack while I raised it up. It does fit well on my 99 and I'll should be having it coated this week and installed this weekend. Also, mine has the double hoop to protect lights. I don't know that I would recommend doing that though. I think i'll have to take the bumper off to get my corner lights replaced when the bulbs go which sucks. I'll post pictures and a complete write up about what I have observed next week for everyone. In fact I think I started a thread somewhere on this site about it so I'll add to that one rather than this one.
 
This is great! I have been searching for a bumper and was about to go with SW, but just didn't want to spend that kind of money. C'mon people put up the pics! Any solutions to the access holes? Lights?
 
Any chance of a group buy on this? I prefer this design slightly more then the ARB, but the ARB is 800 shipped -- with the hoops and painted.
 
For those of us who have installed a different aftermarket bumper that required us to remove the tab from the end of the frame rail. Since the mounts for this bumper use the three (I believe that's how many) mount holes on that tab, would we either have to weld the tab back on or is there another set of holes we could use?

Shipped fast. And the airbags will go off if you need them too. Supposedly. But I like that supposedly.

Yeah I have been leaning towards the ARB as well, just due to lower cost. I do prefer this design, but after shipping, painting, etc, it would be more than the arb.
