Hello everyone! So I've been looking around on these forums for a few weeks anonymously and now I'm on here as an official owner of a 2011 Toyota 4 Runner SR5 4x4. :) Let the modifications begin! What easy mods should I start with first?

Oh I bought a used 2011 Toyota 4 Runner Silver 4x4 with the convenience package and 50k miles for 26k. I think I got a good deal?

Congratulations! Looks nice.

As for mods, what do you plan on doing with it? Is it going to see some off road trail use?

David

Looks good, get it dirty and enjoy it. Price sounds good too.
Mods -- Bilstein 5100s in front to level it and reduce the nose dive and Nfab steps for looks and short passengers.

The Nfab steps look nice! But it looks like they are only used on the Trail Edition. Anyone else know of any other good steps for the Toyota 4 Runner SR5? I'm looking to a little trailing this year but for now it's going to be majority road driving.

Just started my modding as well, I've completed what I think are the easiest as long as u have the change. !

What size and brand of AT tires did you put on? I need to buy new tires before winter but I'm not sure which to get. I do mostly road driving but I would like to do more off roading soon.

Congrats - just picked up my '10 TE today. Already blacked-out the emblems with plasti-dip

My next step is upgrading the cheap compact-car sounding horn. Search the threads ...should be a cheap and quick fix.

I'm also going to replace OEM antenna with a stubby. Recommendations in the threads include: Honda S2000; mangowalk; Pilot ANT-029B

Your running boards look pretty good as-is. If you need more clearance, may consider sliders.

To me, 275 or 285 tires make the biggest difference in the look of 4R's.

98, how'd you do on the deal? I was originally looking for a used TE but all I found were only 6-7k off the price of a new one...

Came just over $29K with 41K miles - was Toyota Certified, but CarFax showed an accident in 2012. No biggie to me: my 2002 been wrecked twice (in 2005 and 2009) and still pushed another 100K miles on it.
I had it shipped from CT to SC ...this one was $4K less than anything else I've seen (price included shipping).
But yes, a '13 can be had in the $37-38K range...difference for me comes in taxes and insurance costs.

I was looking at the ShrockWorks sliders but since I have an SR5 I would have to buy the TE trim and I kinda don't wanna do that. Any slider recommendations for an SR5?
