Yay! So my buddy decided that he wanted to swap his oem air intake system for my K&N (Im not a fan of CAI because they do nothing but make more engine noise) So Its by by K&N and in exchange I got $50 and this:

Its got a big hole in it so I need a deckplate cover but atleast now I can run a snorkeler. The rubber intake piping was perished so I'm temporarily running flexible ribbed tubing. Im looking at those airaids but they seem ridiculously expensive. Im having trouble though finding a 4runner snorkel. ARB and Safari make one for the Tacoma will that work?

I heard the snorkel made for Tacoma fits well.

I am in fact trying to find a good duct pipe/line from other cars/truck to use as a snorkel and do a thread.

Amazons has a good deal on the airaid m.i.t. I just installed on my '97 sr5. The power gains and sound are pretty sweet. Yesterday it made 900 mile trip and averaged my best mileage ever; 20.58 mpg. And that was with a hitch hauler full of Xmas goodies hanging on the back.
