New Blackhoused headlights! Pics * DIY

Hey guys, I tackled the headlight blackhousing project and I feel pretty good about the outcome. Check em out! Thanks to all who helped me with info and direction on this, great T4R.com community!

Felt a little uneasy sticking the fixtures in the oven but it was actually a fairly simple process. It took about 4-5 hours in total, from the time of popping my hood and unscrewing everything to the oven to painting to re-sealing to drying/putting everything back together properly. Well worth it in my opinion thus far.

That looks really great! The only thing I dont like is the painted corners of the headlights...what exactly is that for?

What/how did you paint the grill with? Are the wheels PC'd or painted?

Get some LED's to replace your yellow turn signals. The yellow bulbs stick out pretty bad.

couldnt you of just removed or painted over the amber reflector in stead of painting the edge of the light? unless thats what you were going for. either way your ride looks good, ive always loved the black on black look . good job.

The grill and rims are both PW'd with flat black.

Hell yeah, it looks great! But IMO I think it'd look better if you got your grill painted to match the rest of your 4Runner.

im a big fan of the black on black, stealth look. looking at the grill, i wonder how an all flat black 4runner would look. i remember back in the day , they did that to hot rods. & some customizers are trying to bring it back to cars , bikes, & some older 4x4s. maybe with the flat black , it would have a darth vader thing going on. not that i would do it, but it sure would make it unique, maybe one of a kind.

Nice job.....I like the flat black on the gloss black really nice.....I'm doing my headlights on Monday to complete the look....
