Just got done w/ my new Hawk pads, Cryo rotors, and Raybesto's calipers. I bled the system excessively to get the new fluid in as I'm sure the old stuff was, well...old.
I went out and broke the pads in per Hawk's instructions. Why would I have more pedal travel than before w/ the frozen calipers? The brakes are smooth and consistant, but they don't engauge right away like the old ones did. Maybe because the frozen piston was closer (too close) to the rotor? I may bleed them one more time to ensure no air is in there, but I'm confident I got all the air out as I let ALOT of fluid come out each time I loosened the bleeder and my wife stepped on the brake. Any other thoughts?? I can get used to it, but just want to make sure everything is ok. Thanks!!
