I was havng multiple issues with the CEL coming on periodically.
Codes:
71, 22, 12, 25, 26.
(25 & 26 was a fuel injector that had a broken connector to the wiring harness)
I finally took it to a repair shop. They told me that it was probably a computer that I needed. And a distributor, but that's a minor, different and unrelated issue.
I got a used computer ($100.00) that came out of a 1992 4WD vehicle. Mine is 2WD. I get no codes now, except a new transmission code 65 (#4 Solenoid), and it's running better than ever. Is this likely to be an actual problem, or is there a possibility that the computer is expecting a 4WD transmission and seeing a 2WD? They told me that the computer is completely compatible, and it only has to be an automatic.
If it's actually a solenoid issue, is that a huge hassle to repair?
