How much money you got? Jasper has a good warranty but it'll cost ya $$$ :sadwave:

I think it would be best to rebuild your own. If you want to SC it you can swap in some better aftermarket parts that would handle the extra compression. maybe do some extra tuning stuff. Probably end up with a more balanced engine. That all depending on your capabilities. I also think knowing how the engine has been treated over its lifetime carries some value.

lol, nothings wrong with my engine, I am doing mod planning and one of my mods is to rebuild or do a newer engine with a supercharger,
no way Im gonna supercharge an engine with just under 200k on it.
the other option that Im hearing is that you can turbo it for about the same cost and that is adjustable so you can get more hp from it.
either way, Its getting more power one way or another.
Why not? What's the problem?

I remember Matt Starr (darkrunner) had his bored to a 3.8, and supercharged. I heard he was keeping up with 4th gen V8's no problem.

at least not according to his craigslist ad or the pics he has in there...

Not to hijack, but I just went looking for Matt's old posts, especially the ones about the manual tranny and his farewell where he said he had sold his truck...and they're all gone. Nothing...is that not weird? Why make all that stuff up?

No need to rebuild. Just supercharge it right with the correct fuel add ons and you will be fine. Then if it blows, V8 swap it!

If your going to do an engine swap, I say do it right and put one of these bad boys in.
People put LS1 is all kinds of cars....it would be AWESOME in a Runner.
