Yeah I've been saving up for some new skids, the stock ones didn't workout for me. I had to cut the old one off after going wheeling in middletown. I've been leaning toward the bud builts. Time will tell once I have some money together.

And yes! I like when the BS threads finally come alive. It's GREAT to have a local brothers in arms, and it's even better to build friendships based on a common ground; the awesomeness of Toyota trucks.

Dude the first time I wheeled I got stuck and it cost $400 to get towed out because the mud was so bad. Now IH8MUD, and also, IT'S SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

Rocks are like puzzles. Finding the right line is an art form. I'm usually good at finding the right line, but sometimes I just go crazy, as Josh, Billy, and Chris can attest to, and I make the wheeling trip real interesting hahaha. I'm "that crazy bastard"

Hi guys, thought I would say hi. I'm a fellow New Englander, and a recent buyer of a 03 T4R (Sport/4WD/4.7/XREAS).

Have all my lift stuff on order (FJ Coils, 5100's). Can't wait to get this thing in the woods for some fun! With the ridiculous amount of nose dive/rake I wouldn't want to chance taking it through too much as it is....

Do any of you wheel in NH or ME? I love in NH and travel throughout NH & ME for work. From reading this thread it looks like you do most of your wheeling in MA or CT.

Anyway, cheers everybody!

Cool! Yeah, I am hoping to have my lift in before my first bird hunting trip up in Maine. That is always a fun trip, good for some fun in the truck too!

NH is not nearly as open to wheeling as it used to be. When I was a teenager we used to be able to turn off anywhere and bury the trucks to our hearts content. Now I see lots of gates & signs......really stinks. I will be watching closely for open roads and trails from now on though!!

Once my lift is in I might just join you guys down there for a trip (after hunting season......lol).

Where in Maine are you able to wheel? My territory for work is all of New England and am up in Maine quite often. I know there are a couple of places near Augusta.

Sorry about the delay Chris...I had to jump off and got tied up with work for the rest of the day.

I haven't been real wheeling in years. I did a little wheeling with my Tundra up in Errol NH back in July (that's what got me looking into the T4R). I wanted something older that I wouldn't mind scratching up (other than my brand new $50k Limited Crewmax Tundra...lol)

Hope to get at least a 2/1 lift/level out of this setup and an improved ride (this XREAS is getting soft @ 123k).

I drive through seabrook on my way to my cottage. We could meet up some time! I go wheeling pretty much everywhere

My xreas shit the bed at 30k.... It rusted out and the shock bodies started flaking away... Lol

With the TT coils you should see close to 2.5/1. I have stock FJ coils and got 3/4". I threw a daystar 1.5" spacer set in the rear. Gonna go full superflex and fox 2.5" coilovers soon, before I do my SAS in a few years

You'd need a damn weekend to hear all the "nutty things" I've done to my truck haha!

Beer sounds good, but it can't be at a bar.... Lol

I might be up next weekend, or I'll come up if you need a hand with your lift! You aren't that far away!

Also, I sell 1/2" body lifts to help you clear bigger tires without rubbing. Affordable prices too . Uses stock bolts and no steering modification needed!
