If you kept the trail/TRDOR wheels, the tires would most likely never rub (mine didn't when I had it set up that way with the Wildpeaks).
Keep in mind, even the TRD Pros get this exact modification (fender liner pushed forward/bumper trim) done at the port when they get off the ship. So doing it yourself isn't really any more intrusive than what "the factory" does.

I put the TRD Pro wheels and these tires on with stock size. Only slight rubbing when in reverse for me with the wheel turned all the way to the right.

I have the same rims and size, ran with stock suspension for a week or 2 with zero rubbing. Not sure why as I would have thought all runners are the same at port and unless they fell off the truck shouldn't align any different

The fact of the matter is that EVERY rig is different. Period. That’s why there are so many conflicting reports in this. Some don’t have an issue. Some do. It’s just that simple. You won’t know until you try.

This is an insane value. I am annoyed that it starts at less than the advertised depth and that the first 2/32nds go away in 4,000 miles or less, but for the rest it is an exceptional tire regardless of price. Throw in a cost this low and it is hard to complain...

Ended up going with the Cooper Adventure AT 265/70/17. Full crank both ways I have no rubbing. Very happy with the choice and it worked out.
Tempted to get my spare changed over at that price.

Who are you having mount and balance when buying from Amazon or Walmart?
Local shops or national chain? I keep telling myself that I'm going to wait a little longer to replace the original tires, but I know that isn't going to happen.

Luckily I have a friend who is installing them along with a 1" front spacer. However, when going through ordering on Amazon it gave me about a dozen national shops/local chains (mostly Sears). It also gave me the option for at-home installation through a company I can't recall the name of.

From what, the stock one? Absolutely. The Wildpeaks are strong but not perfect. You may well need that spare. I have needed it twice in the desert.
I would first ask the local Discount Tire if they would match Walmart. If not, buy from either Amazon and Walmart and have them mounted by Discount Tire. That should give you free lifetime balancing and rotations. At least this is the case here. I don't care for the rotations but I cannot balance my tires myself.

When I bought a month ago discount matched Amazon. Go on the web site and ask. They sent me a code good at any discount tire good for 30 days
Yep my spare is the stock one. In my mind the added benefit of sticking to the stock tire size is being able to use the stock spare.
