New Falken AT tire (A/T3W)

I'm getting 15.1 mpg on p rated falkens at3w 265/70/17 mostly city stock height no mods, is this normal mpg for city with these tires?

A lot of variables there...they are a heavy tire, even in P rated. I have 60+ lbs 275s on my 4th gen with lift and skids etc and still Average 17 mixed. Can get like 20-21 on conservative highway driving.

I full blast my ac all the time here in Tx, I wonder if that gets calculated into the mpg equation anyway love the tires they've worked flawlessly in the rain etc

I get 17mpg city driving, scs wheels. AC running all summer here in the desert.

Does anyone have issues with tires rubbing using stock size Falken's (265/70/R17) in the SL/P rating? It seems everyone who has rubbing issues is using the LT/E rated tires. Let me know!

I had them on stock trail wheels and no rubbing, but when I switched to TRD Pro rims I got rubbing at full lock. I also have Bilstein 6112/5160 set to level the front, so that may also be contributing.

I don't think they are much heavier than stock tire at that size.

They are 8 pounds heavier each tire, 47 pounds versus 39.

Mine were installed last week and yesterday I heard rubbing at full lock in reverse. Guessing mud flap but haven't had a chance to try and reproduce.

Just ordered a set today. Can’t be worse then a duratrac and hopefully better then the KO2 in the winter. For the price, warranty and appearance I don’t think they can be beat.

Had a set of OEM size P rated Wilkpeaks installed this past weekend. Went the next day to the trails to test them out. Performed great... however the car vibrates quite a bit on the pavement above 60 mph.. so back to Discount Tire I go to see if they were balanced properly. Hoping it's an easy fix...

When I purchased my Falkens 2 years ago I had the same issue at 60MPH. Had them re-balance them twice and still had the shake. I actually got them to replace all 4 tires. That fixed the problem. I now have 35K on them and about 50% tread left. I will run them again for the third winter and will change them the end of next summer.

Thanks for the insight. Have an appointment on Friday to get them re-balanced, which I'm hoping solves the issue. How did you get them to replace all 4... warranty? Were they determined to be out of round?

Curious to see how that works out, and hope it solves your problem. I am having the same issue and plan on doing the same. Great tire other than the vibration aFter 60

Anybody have any long mileage reviews of these yet? I do 80% road and don't want the low mileage associated with many super off-road tires. I'd love to see 40K at least. Doing a lot of driving from Southern to Northern California, but once there I like to go trail exploring but no real rock crawling.

Finally had the time to get the tires installed. Got the tires on eBay for $486 shipped when they had the 15% off coupon. Size is 285-70-17 SL. Surprised on how quite the tires on road

Were you able to get the vibration squared away? Plan on taking mine in on Monday if possible, so I was just curious what your outcome was?

They were out of balance by 2-3 ounces a piece. They didn’t use the right cone when balancing originally. They road force balanced all 4 again, and appears to have solved the issue!
