Kliv mod installed. Works exactly as promised. Thanks Kliv, for the fast shipping and great support. Now, to try and trick the computer into VSC TRAC off without instigating a code, the gears are turning. 07 and previous only allow a code to enable VSC TRAC off, so I'm not sure that this will be possible, but I'm gonna try.


Also, I created a very simple schematic to help with the install. Installed on an 07 SR5 V6 so your VSC wire may be a different color. Sorry, some of the terminology is in honda terms, as I was a master tech for honda, but ill post it anyways.

GCM = Gauge control module aka instrument cluster

Kind of. Unplugging the connector you mentioned switches off all the systems including A-Trac which might be useful. It also does not allow you to switch everything back without ignition off (as far as I remember).

Im getting ready to install this mod on my 2007 Sr5. I just needed clarifaction on step:

19(c). For 2007 models (refer picture bellow):

Connect Violet wire from the device with Red/Blue wire from 22 pin of 

marked connector.

I haven't physically located this ecu in my vehicle yet but looking at the wiring harness for this mod, it doesn't appear to be able to reach my glove box.

I wanted to make sure before I start this project that I don't need to run another length of wire to get the reach I need. Or are you guys taping into that harness somewhere closer than at the plug of the ecu?

Sorry if it seems like a silly question, I just haven't seen anyone mention this as an issue so I may be overthinking this a bit.

Yes, you will need additional wire to reach ECU. You wouldn't need it if you had older model with ECU under steering wheel.

between the options around the forum to splice the wire at the master cylinder (disables all three VSC,ATRAC,ABS) and the OBD2 mod (disables VSC,ATRAC only) i'd like to consider the option to disable only VSC. i like to have my choice and control :driving:

To be honest, there are only few guys installed it on V8 and I have never tested it on that truck, but it seems to be working with V8 as well (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/930615-post1.html)

it does seem unnecessary for the V8 but i prefer to have my dash lights be accurate. and bypass purchasing a $65 toyota switch....
