hey guys

i've wanted a 4runner since i was fifteen and finally got one a little less than six months ago - only took me nearly a decade! working on building her up and the tacoma guys i know have been a lot of help, but i could use some fellow 4runner drivers' expertise

2003 V6 Sport Edition

so far she's got:

icon extended travel coilovers w/o resis

total chaos ucas

icon 2" lift springs and 2.0 shocks in the rear

yakima megawarrior roof rack

rci skid plate package

i've got plenty more in mind and can't wait to watch her transform

Very cool. Welcome!

Welcome, nice to see women enthusiasts as well. It looks like you have a good platform to start from too. There is plenty of good info here for future upgrades.

thanks! i bought it bone stock with a bull bar up front. i picked all the upgrades it has now by myself and helped with the installation :)

Welcome to the forum! It's always nice to see other ladies on here. :) My story is much the same! I had wanted a 4Runner since I learned to drive on my stepdads when I was 15, I finally got one when I was 23 :). They are a blast to customized, and speaking of that, yours is looking great!

Welcome, and good start. My wife and I both own and wheel our 4Runners but she does not join the boards, it's nice to have a dash of estrogen around here.

Good choice in suspension, I am running nearly the same setup on my 2013 and my 2003.

Your next step might be sliders and skids, since it seems you are clearly going to wheel it....

Welcome again and happy wheeling.

Welcome! This forum is one heck of a resource. The folks I've interacted with here are top notch and courteous.

By the way, nice 4th Gen 4Runner! You have mentioned that you are planning to mod your 4Runner more, so here is my question for you: What kind of terrain are you wanting to conquer?

my ultimate goal is to be able to conquer desert terrain at high speeds, but since there's none of that in florida i would just like to be able to go up steep hills, hit areas that require articulation, bumps, and maybe a little bit of mud.

Can you post a few more pics of your rack? I've been thinking about either the loadwarrior or the megawarrior and I'm curious to see how much of the roof the mega covers.

I just re-read that... you know what I meant. Thanks!

sure thing! i chose the megawarrior because the loadwarrior looked way too small up there to me. sorry about the one sideways picture, not sure why it won't upload correctly

i know what you meant ;)

Nice to see another girl on here! I have a 03 as well but mine is the v8 sport. Anything you would ever need to know about your rig is on this site...it's a great group of people!
Welcome and enjoy!

thank you! i like that your 03 has the gray fenders like mine, don't see too many of those around.

Wow, very cool, and welcome, just like you, I wanted a 4Runner for about a decade as well, dating back to the 3rd gens, and finally got one back in 05. It was your exact truck, Titanium Silver 03 Sport V6, loved that truck. Had it for 5 1/2 years and traded it in on an 08 Shadow Mica 4Runner. Love what you've done so far, definitely nice to see girls modding 4Runners on here more and more. :whoo:
