Welcome from Houston! Newbie and first time T4R owner as well. I'm in central TX a lot, my parents have a house in between Marble Falls and Lago Vista. Not to mention, my wife and I are both UT Alum.

Car looks great so far! did you have to use a whole can of Plasti Dip on the front piece?

Not on a Japanese vehicle made in Japan. Even most domestic vehicles are mainly metric.

Turns out they are M6, and Home Depot, of all places, had a replacement.

Dipped the roof rack, finished the emblems, and now we're all ready to start working on suspension.

I think it looks better. The matte finish kind of hides inside the black interior pretty well.

I responded in your other thread, but I'll mention here that Rockwall Ford had a black TRD Pro with less than 10k on it. But they were asking $48,888....which was up from $45,000 when I started looking.

Wow $48,888 for a 2015 TRD Pro with 10K miles? I got my 2016 Limited brand new for under $44,000.

Are the TRD Pro's that much in demand?

Nice bike, looks like a specialized Tarmac with some nice carbon wheels... SRAM Red and a Garmin 510? I ride a Cervelo R3, I'm crazy about bikes and trucks. Very nice!

Sworks Tarmac Mean with Red, Sworks Quarq, and Reynolds Aero 46s.

She was on a Venge with a similar build that we had upgraded up over a couple years. During a group ride, a dog ran out in front of her and she t-boned it at 26-28mph. Dog walked away...well, ran away. She, on the other hand, did not. She was trying to text me afterwards. Looked like "dooog rn fnt nof me crsd". Of course I was 200mi away. Managed a pretty bad concussion (still doesn't know her drivers license number almost a year later) and total the bike. Dog owners insurance covered everything. One fellow who went down got something like $4000 for a bent front wheel. My wife, including medical bills, and bike replacement...got a lot more.

Sometimes it pays to know some folks in the industry.

That's crazy, sworks tarmacs are incredible bikes. I'm on a new cervelo R3 and I love it. Glad to hear your wife is ok & she got plenty of money for a new bike. Sometimes little accidents can leave you with more than enough money for a new frameset alone...Those Reynolds alone are super expensive.

Yeah, there's no way I'd be able to afford this stuff if I had to pay retail. Wifey about had an anxiety attack when I told her what this bike would retail for. But, I'm pretty fortunate to have some friends in high places. Like Reynolds.

PS - these are the best carbon clinchers made. I'm pretty opinionated about frames, though. And oddly enough, I ride aluminum.

Are your running boards factory?

I'm new to 4Runner and just bought a left over 2015 Limited from a dealer here and it does not have the power running boards and I'm told they aren't an option to be installed by the dealer...

I opted to order a set of the regular runners but looking at an SR5 they are pretty corny looking in black with an odd pattern on the step (same as my tailgate cover).

I'm worried those are what I ordered, but the runners on your trail look much better... Curious what the heck I just ordered.

Anyone have pics on here of a 5th Gen limited with factory runners (not powered)??

Mine are factory, yeah. I'll see if I can find a description or part number. My only grump about them is the chrome. Wish they were all black.

Yeah I definitely agree on that for anything other than the limited.

But my Limited already has a ton of chrome, I'd rather that than the cheesy black ones I saw on the SR5.

If you have a part number, that'd be great man!

When I started looking, I saw the chrome ones only on Limiteds, with SR5s and Trails getting tube steps and TRD Pros getting black running boards. Chrome makes sense in the Limited. Figured everything else would get black. And I was wrong.

Weird. The SR5 they had on the lot had black, not tube, but the tread looked exactly like what's on your tailgate cover, those geometric blocks. Looked ok on the SR5 I guess, but I definitely want something more subtle on the limited, she's a classy gal... haha

Moved USB port from center console over to the glovebox this weekend. Now I'm wanting to figure out how to run a longer iPod cable from that port up to the center console. Figure it's easy enough to route one, but hiding it and keep it clean might be a little more difficult. In my head, the Lightning connector will pop out by the rear window switch. And thinking about it now, I could probably drill the console right there, and use a grommet for a Di2 wire.
