New lift just dropped off at the house!!

I just received my lift from the UPS driver. I got setup from Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters. I'm installing the 8.5 wrap LC coils with the new style sport shocks in the rear and the OME 882's with 5mm spacer and OME sport shocks up front.

I hope to get it installed Thursday nite.

If you guys need any lift advice Kurt is very helpful. Look him up at Cruiser Outfitters.

Well it has a busy two weeks. I got the lift installed, trans cooler mounted, a complete stereo system ,blue led dash lights and just got done changing the rear front diffs and transfer case oil.

The lift is great! I need to get it aligned yet but I'm letting the coils settle in for while.

The stereo sounds good just need to fine tune the amps.

The best part is... I did it all by myself. No stereo shop no mechanics for me. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment

Next up bumpers and sliders. I have the steel ordered and will be tackling those by the end of the month.

Well I'll be the first to say very nice job! Theres a ton to take in too. How are the new OME sport shocks? and totally diggin the LC wheels especailly the anthracite man. Slick whip.

Ok, so I have all my stuff to do my lift but I was thinking it is a two man job...are you telling me that I don't need to wait around for anybody? Any pointers, gotchas, etc? I'm installing almost exactly what you did...

By the way, your rig looks really good...if I didn't have to use mine to haul so much stuff all the time I would see about doing that same type of thing in my cargo area...

No it's a two man job on the lift. I'm just saying I didn't have to pay a mechanic garage to do it. Actually I did have to pay for the beer afterward when I suckered a friend to come over and help.

I had all the wheels off of mine today and I contemplated attempting it...how much time did you guys need to get it all done? I don't mind attempting it, just nervous cause it's my daily ride to work....which could be anywhere right now!

It takes about 3-4 hours average, but If you have to assemble your front struts (i.e. coils and shocks) add about another hour or more depending on if you have good spring compressors. The rear shocks are a ***** and even though now I could do mine in 15 min, it took me like an hour to figure out how I'm gonna do it, what wrench I would have to cut and modify, how I'm going to fit my fat ass hands up there, etc.. and then I just ended up sawsalling my old shocks off. I would say the whole job should take about a day for you.

Thats good info...I had my front's preassembled at a local place so they are ready to go...what makes the rear so much of a pain? Is it the location of the nut? What is the adjustable panhard for?

The panhard is to center your rear axle again, with the LC coils you'll most likely need it. Yes, it's the upper nuts that suck on the rear shocks.

Bolts on...Look under your truck...it's the bar that runs from the drivers side of your rear axle to the frame on the pass side..

ryani, that's an awesome looking 4runner! I love the color. And holy cow that lift is tall. I'm curious how it drives after it settles and you get it all aligned.

Also....what year is that? I've never seen a gauge cluster that has the PRND21 in that location.

Cut the panhard bar and sleeve it? I was just shopping for new ones....there's something you can do to the existing one?
