So, first impressions are good overall and met my expectations. The lighter weight was very noticeable and I could tell the truck didnt have to dig as hard when I hit the gas. Train tracks and abrupt hits were a little smoother as well but the Falkens were getting low on tread too.
The only "downside" being the rounded profile, but again, I've accepted this and think the tradeoff is worth it for the increased pep on the road...for now.
I kept my falkens so of course I had to compare them. The 50k+ mile falken tread (not aired up) measured right at 0.5" wider at the lugs. This confirms the massive visual difference and why the Maxxis appear smaller. It's just a rounder tire with more recessed lugs...no way around it. The lug design yields itself to an even smaller look as the wider kug is staggered against the narrower lug from side to side. All cosmetics and preference of course as this profile benefits the lighter weight and road manners.
For now, I'm happy with them since they were only $920 OTD. Granted the Falkens were only $100 more...maybe I should've, nah...Lol.
