Hello everyone,

I just purchased my first 4runner, a 2006 sport 4wd V8 with only 53k miles. I love it! But after searching around this forum the past week I've found a few things to throw more money at. :biggrin2:

Definitely want to get new tires (trying to decide between Revo2's, Grapplers, or Geolanders) as soon as possible. It has the stock ones on now although they are brand new. But they suck in the snow! Also decided to get a HID kit so I pulled the trigger on the XenonDepot's extreme 4300k. Can't wait to get those! Coming from a car that had OEM bi-xenons, the lights on the runner suck.

I've always belonged to the forums of the cars I've had, but so far I've found this forum to be the best I've ever used. You all are a great community with tons of info and not much bi*ching back and forth (like so many other forums). Looking forward to being a member!

Well welcome to the forum and get ready to spend some money. The tires will get mixed reviews from folks here, mostly people are bias towards what they own. I myself am an avid BFG A/T user and love them, I get good traction in all weather, very low noise and I get tons of miles out of them, my last set I got 67k miles before they hit the wear markers. I also drive easy and I usually get good miles out of tires. Terra nitto grappler A/T's I only got 40k out of which isnt bad but I went back to BFG afterwards.

Thanks for the advice VenomHP! I think I'm going to get the Revo2s. Everyone that has them seems to love them.

Welcome to the forum.

The older REVO's didn't last long for me and the Michelin LTX's lasted long but cost a fortune and were too hard a compound in cold rain. I settled on Firestone Destination AT's to contend with snow but had also liked the Destination LT's for less snowy conditions.

Good luck with the HID's. Glad to see you were sensible and bought the 4300K.
