New Rigid LED Grill?

Look interesting but I don't know if the light will be above the license plate if a SW bumper with winch is used.

That's sweet, I wondering if you can just order the top alone or bottom alone. I'm sure those will set you back around $1000.:cry2:

I spoke to LT (Metal techs user name) back in July, they have these made my someone else but Ican't remember the name. If you look at the photo's in that first link you will see the initials "BI" on the lower right (as you look at it). In July he said they would get an ETA and never heard back, I'm glad Rigid came through if MT couldn't because these look nice but as previously stated they are going to be stupid expensive

Actually, it is not "BI", but "RI". It is the Rigid Industries logo.

I can get rigid product through my business (motorcycles), but generally its just the light bars and spots; already called my supplier and will find out if I can special order these through them and what the pricing is for the upper, lower, and the appropriate light options.

It won't matter how many people want them, bulk buy will not make a difference but I'd be happy to pass on whatever discount I can to everyone if I am able to obtain them. Ill keep you posted

I like the lower grill unit....I wonder when/where they will be available because if the price is right I'll order.

I like the upper grille but plan on adding a winch in the near future so I wouldn't need the lower.

If the upper and lower are a package, maybe we could split an order.

The Rigid Industries grills that are on our 4Runner are the prototypes made from Black Diamond Fabrication (Rigid Industries owns the company). The grills are being made officially by Rigid Industries and while at SEMA I was told they will be available by the beginning of the year 2013. We are still waiting to hear back from them for a firm release date but I know you will be able to purchase the grills separately.

LT is correct, just talked with Brian at Rigid, won't be priced or avail till first of the year, not even a dedicated part number for them yet. Here's what I do know:

SR series only on top (20"). Discussions for E series, but nothing concrete as of yet.

Any dually, dually d2, diffused, etc on the bottom.

Brian felt that they will be sold separate as LT mentioned as not everyone may want both as you'd imagine. Ill keep a running list of interested people and let you know when they become available and what the pricing will be.

I will for sure be ordering both for mine since Defiant is MIA and that shot my ideas out the window, this is the next best thing besides the modified aries guard that some people are doing. (all i really want are nice mounts for the LED bars, have no need for the protection as I'm all show and no go on the offroad sides of things)

@ gadget, Ducati and Triumph in the Akron, OH area, hence the gf candid shot in a ducati bikini ;)
Bonus points if you know what my handle is!

Guess I need the Doc to check my eyes :thanks:

That's who I was thinking of, I didn't know Rigid owned them... Back in my lane

If you are keeping the list, please add me as definitely interested!

Metal Tech must have received a rash of calls and emails on this today, because I emailed them earlier today and got a response within 5 minutes.
