New Rigid LED Grill?

Thomas at Rigid said they would be available in January/February but he didn't give a price. I'd be for both.

Wow, we have really been bombarding them with calls. I had a very pleasant phone call with them a few minutes ago. The said they would be "aggressive" on the pricing and that they would have that pricing by the middle of next week.

They were noncommittal on my suggestion for a special price break for biologists.

I'm in for the upper grille if it's priced right

It even comes in Salsa Red to match my TE and at 39.95, it is a heck of a deal!

Let's not be too hasty. Maybe we should see what one looks like installed? Y'all are a nice bunch of people and maybe I can do you a favor out of the kindness of my heart. We could pool our resources and install one on my 4Runner (yes, I care that much). If we have any leftover donations, I promise to use them for my anti-temperance and pro breast awareness campaign.

My charitable spirit is boundless.

Rigid is right up the road from my new office here in AZ. I can go reinforce some opinions if you guys want. :pimp:

This is quite cool. New addition to the "want' list....which happens to be long and falls to the wayside a lot cuz life intrudes.....

tried to get a hold of Rigid today, they missed my call, i missed their return, etc etc. No price updates yet for you guys but I'm still on it.... and as for H2O docs suggestion of seeing what its like on first, while it may not be volunteered on his, I'll definitely be putting both on and will do an install post with it as well. I've got HID kits for the mains, brights, and fogs to go in as well, debating on doing them now or waiting for the rigid stuff to become available.

As a thought, I know HIDS are silly for fogs to do their true purpose, but i'm not in need of functional fogs usually, but i did get yellow (3k) and my normal crystal white (5500k) bulbs for the fogs....any fun thoughts on white/white vs white/yellow for the main/fogs?

i feel like im putting too much thought into the whole front end light setup lol

Are you talking functionality or purely aesthetics? There's a common misconception that yellow light is superior in fog - in reality, white light provides the best penetrating power because a yellow filter actually decreases light output. The commonly held belief that yellow light is better because it has a longer wavelength is false, because water droplets in the air are hundreds of times larger than the wavelength of the light anyway. Unless you think yellow looks better, I'd go with white fogs.

See, you aren't the only one that thinks too much about lighting, my friend.........
