New Setup Questions

Looks good, I got the same size tires but went with a 18x9 0mm offset. Was fine until I had an alignment done and set castor to 2.5, it then rubbed on the front fender, had to cut the bumper and push the fender liner forward even more. I love the look of the -12mm but was afraid it would rub the body mounts, and I didn't want to chop it.
My sidewall is even with top of the fender.
If you could post some side views to show how much the tire sticks out.
BTW discounttire scratched up my rims too, during the install. But not as bad as yours. I am going to try some mirroring and polishing compound and see if I can buff it out.

If they're really stand up guys, they will offer you something for your trouble, free rotations or some-such.

America's/Discount Tire provides free re-balance, rotations and flat repair on all the tires they sell. I have also had them fix a flat on some factory tires on my Scion tC for free. They have great service and they price match internet prices as well.

SoCal4Run looks nice, simple...

where in Socal are you?

Thanks. Not doing to much more anytime soon. Probably just 20% tint all around and that's it for a while.

In Brea. Work in La Mirada.

BTW, anyone looking or knows someone looking for clean, hardly used 2014 SR5 Premium wheels, throw them my way. Thanks.

Ok guys, had another question. I don't plan on putting the hub caps on as I think they're atrocious. Had Discount Tire spray the hubs black with Rustoleum high temp paint. However, it looks like some rust is forming on one hub through/over the paint. Do I need to clean this off before repainting, or don't really worry about it. Also, has anyone used plasti-dip here. Seems like it might hold up better to weather? Or will it be too hot? Thoughts.

You are kidding right? I have difficulty finding a thread that doesn't have some reference to it! I think some of these guys may use it on their feet to keep from having to buy new shoes! :bolt:

I was asking if anyone used it on the wheel hub. I know everyone uses it elsewhere. I have already used it on my emblems and roof racks.

Ok, so maybe it is a dumb question considering people use it for their wheels as well. Just seemed like everyone suggests to use high temp paint on the hubs, so I was wondering if plasti dip would be ok here and if I need to clean off the rust first, or just paint over the little bit that is there.

Ok, well, the good news is I got my replacement wheels put on today with no scratches (they replaced all four). However, driving back to work, I got a really bad vibration in the steering wheel that was not there prior. So they probably don't have the fronts balanced that well. Going to go back in an hour. I'm spending more time at this place then I ever wanted and it sucks because I'm not the type of guy to make a scene, but I'm getting severely frustrated.
