Hey fellas,

I asked a while back to become a moderator and the board admin gave me moderator rights to help clean up the boards. I never realized exactly how much junk gets posted on this somewhat small forum until I became a moderator here. There are all kinds of spam posted by users who try to sneak their junk in through their signatures and link in posts. Most of the spam are new users who become a user to post advertisement for their products that are not approved by the forum admin. I also didn't realize how much the spam is controlled on this forum by the users. Every time someone "reports" a post, it links the post in a moderator only sub-forum. Please keep doing your part and report suspicious posts so we as moderators can help keep the forum under control.

Dupe was intentional. I wanted to throw it out there that this forum is really policed by the users more than the mods.

As a moderator what privileges do you have? I've pm'd mods and admins about numerous things and never seem to get an answer. My most recent was the Forum User Tagging

Glad to have you on board. I'm on this site every day and thought about requesting to be a mod, but with work I don't have the time really.

You would have to send a pm to Admin. I don't have any privileges to add things or change the forum in any way.

If you guys need more help, I would like to contribute more to the forum. How can I consider becoming a moderator, SV_Dude? Just PM Admin?
