New Sonoran Steel Product: KDSS High Articulation/Long Travel Trac/PanHard bar

I have not installed the Panhard correction kit onto my vehicle yet. I think I would rather have the added clearance from this Panhard bar vs. correcting the geometry with the Panhard correction kit. Is there a reason you know this will not work? I won't go forward with the correction kit if you feel this strongly. Thanks for the warning.

I have sent you a personal email explaining the situation.

You CAN NOT use this part with the Panhard correction kit, if you do it will be a colossal disaster. No joke.

If you are really going to do this, contact me and cancel your order, it will not work. Once again, no joke.

Can you share why the correction kit won't work? Have you tested that the Panhard no longer fully clears and begins contacting again?

The KDSS bar fits in the very small area behind the rear axle like a puzzle piece. It clears everything through out it's entire cycle. The shape I have come up with took a very long time and many many proto-types to get just right. It clears by very small margins. It never misses these margin ever. There is so very little room to work with. The product is outstanding as designed and beyond thoroughly tested.

Here is the problem with the axle side raise bracket. The axle side of my KDSS bar sets the path the bar follows. It is the side that dictates where all the zigs and zags need to be. The frame side is the adjustable side. It can be set to what ever you want, because the axle side is the one that sets everything in the right position to clear all the parts in the entire swing.

When you raise the mounting point of the axle side, you are effectively making the bar shorter on the down swing and longer on the up swing from the stock axle position. Since all of these tolerances are already so close you are back to a bar that hits everything during it's stroke past the length of the stock rear shocks.

The stock rear end work just fine with stock rear shocks. They are very short. At least 1" shorter than even a simple Bilstein 5100. Once you go past the stock shock length, things happen very very fast. No simple bents are going to do anything in this scenario. The only solution is a bar with very complex zig zags all precisely placed and you have something amazing. Change it a little and it all falls apart again.

In this case less is more. Stock lateral/trac/panhard bar mounts is what the part was designed with. Stock length upper and lower rear links is what that part was designed with. Aftermarket links set to stock length are fine obviously. Unless your rear links are offset down on the axle end, your not going to get the full movement either.

You can't change something so complex and expect it to work the same. It will not.

Any chance or rumor of a Thanksgiving/blackfriday/cybermonday sale. Looking to pair this with a icon stage 2 tubular uca kit....also any reported issues with the 2 i know there is extensive testing by you guys with the radflos but didnt see much on any other shock.

There will be a Black Friday-Cyber Monday sale on the KDSS trac bar and our lower links. I have not decided how much off, but there will be one.

As for the upper links as long as they are set to stock length, you will be fine.

Any shock is fine as long as it was made for a 5th gen 4Runner.

I'm really curious of this also. I just blew the whole bottom out of my toytec BOSS remote reservoir shock and am waiting to hear back if they will cover it. Since the front shock in the BOSS kit are re-branded Radflo 2.5" coilovers I'm getting really tempted to do the whole SS Radflo shocks and panhard bar kit. Does anyone know if the SS shocks & tracbar would go well with the Toytec superflex rear coils?

The toytec lift also uses a bump stop extension block but it sounds like that would no longer be needed.

Thanks for the help!

*EDIT: sschaefer3 replied before my post was uploaded. My bad!

Toytec coils are fine. Yes with the Custom Radflos you would put your stock bump stops back on and take the block out. The rear shocks are 2.5 size so you would want your front coil overs to be 2.5 size as well.

I've had mine in for a while but haven't taken any flex shots. Took a couple today after we got back from some trails. Definitely noticeable over stock, and I still have stock lower links right now also.

Does panhard bar fix the Axel alignment issue from lifting the rear? Currently running 3" ICON Overland springs w/ 2.5 KINGS w/resi ext travel ..... Everything else is stock ....

Yes as its adjustable in length. Didnt realize how off mine was till i measured to adjust the bar before installing!

Haven't been able to get any good shots but can feel the difference on some trails where I had issues in the rear before getting the tracbar in. I would say it has more about an inch or so of travel left. Just couldn't go any higher up the steps as I picked an atrocious line (my bumper paid for it lol)

How does this product differ from the panhard correction kits (PCK (Panhard Correction Kits) – eimkeith.com) or a rear swaybar drop kit (KDSS Rear Sway Bar Drop Kit for 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner/Lexus GX (2010-
– Blackgate Customs
)

If essentially the travel is only limited by the contact between panhard bar and kdss piston, what differs between the option you provide and others out there?

I understand that there is an increase in travel w/ the radflo shock, but taking that out of the equation, and maintaing a off the shelf shock.
