new tire pressure sensor, turning off light?

i have a 2005 v6 and had my guy at work replace the tire pressure sensor due to leaking valve stem and core broken inside the wheel. How do we get the low tire pressure light to go out on the dash? will it go off after a few miles or do i need to take it to dealership to turn it off?

The sensor has to be programmed to the vehicle. Take it to the dealer.

the sensor is already on the wheel, do they just hook up to scanner? cuz my guy here didnt write any numbers down off of the new sensor.hope i dont need to remove it to do that??

If they have the sensor reader they shouldn't have to dismount the tire.

I had one replaced a couple of years ago. The dealer had to reset mine. Cost me $75.

The tire place I buy tires from now can do it. So check with a tire place near you.

Check your spare tire as well. That was my problem.

i work for an Audi dealership and we have a Toyota store in our group. I went over there at lunch and took them about 1/2 hour and all fixed. Did not cost me a dime !
