New to forum and toyota.

I have been on the 120 forum for just a short bit and am new to the T4R.
So far I am loving my T4R and I bought it for reliability and also the fact that my 2001 BMW 530 sucked in the snow and cost an arm and leg to fix.
Glad to come aboard and love my T4R but my wife likes driving it more than me so far.

That's an 03 with the textured gray cladding...classic look of the early 2000's with companies following the suit of the Avalanche. I have one too.

Yeah, ive almost moved a few times...but this is my home.

What dealership did you get your T4R from? I have lotsa experiences at different places....could tell u who ive had good n bad luck with.

NH resident here. originally from Rochester, NY, moved to Boston and sold my house in Waltham MA and have been in NH for 14 years. just bought a 04 SR5 with V8 and 148K on clock. Jury is still out on this one???? One owner truck from Boston and has excellent service records from Expressway and Boch Toyota showing oil changes every 5-6K. However, the truck has some handling issues and makes creaking noises going over bumps and the timing belt/pump needs servicing. What kind of a deal did u get? I paid 9,000 for this one. I figure it needs about 1600 more in servicing to get it right. I also like the two tone clad look better on yours than my all silver one.

I payed $8500 for mine and it had 97,000 miles on it.
I got it from Mobico Auto Mart, it was a single car owner and the guy who owned it kept in great shape thats why I got it instead of the 05 that was ok shape plus more miles on it.

I bought my 03 back in 2006 with only 16k on the odo. and got it at the Nashua NH Infinity dealership for $20k (down from $26k). I think they were sick of having a Toyota on their lot, so when i said "best i can do is $20k" then guy sez "ok". The KBB had it at $24k, and the other similar sites were all around the same ballpark...i figure that with all the Infinitys around, the Sport Edition Toyota with the bull bar and the look it had was not fitting in with all the other SUVs on the lot which were luxury-based.

I got my 08 a year ago this week! $24k with 40k on the odo.

Hapeacres, when it comes to getting the timing belt done, you can call around for prices. You'll read that a lot of people in here got good deals on it by having an independent shop do it or also it ranges by location.

Out here in western mass, i called the 3-4 local Toyota dealership shops and got quotes. Prices ranged from $2200 to $1300. Keep in mind when i got quotes, i included the 90k service, timing belt replacement and new water pump. I took the $1300 quote to the local Toyota Dealership that i trust and they matched it. Ive already brought my pop's 2005 Tundra V8 to them and said, "hey, can we do that again?" and they hooked me up again.

I got the timing belt service done today and then some! I found a local guy right here on this forum who's family has a Toyota specialty shop in Manchester called Ron's Toy Shop. I brought it down to him and he looked it all over and drove it around. He also has an 04 T4R. He only did what he thought was necessary for a newly purchased used truck which included the following: water pump, serp belt, timing belt, thermostat, oil change, sway bar bushings, spark plugs, grease drive train, lube steering shaft u joint, and examine fluids, brakes, ball joints, etc. total costs was 1,096.04. He also cleaned my cat by heating it up. I also learned a lot. It might be worth the trip for you guys to go see Brad!
