I went for a test ride in one and the exhaust note reverberated throughout the cabin which was very annoying. I have also heard from two different dealerships that they have had problems with those wheel splitting.........and that they would not carry those anymore.

Whoa, very interesting. A member here had his 20" Enkei wheels split on him a while back, and they were purchased from Toyota, and Toyota would not replace them. Sounds like these are having the same problem, that's very scary to think about.

Nw that you mention it, I remember him posting about that. That bites because they are some good looking wheels. I would love to have a set, but guess I will stick with my 18's.

What exactly is the 4Runner X-SP? Is it like an appearance packagae for the SR5? The reason I think it is an SR5 is because of the black mirrors in the picture.

They are upgraded sr5's

The look cool, but not practical...you can save some $$ and do the upgrades yourself....

These upgrades are fitted at the port.

Mark! You're 100% correct. The X-SP in fact is a SR5 with an eXtreme Sport (Performance?) Package. There were more than a dozen of these babies on the lot when I picked up my 06. I did test drive one and all I can say is the Borla sounds horrible on the V6 (No V8 available for X-SP). However, it has a realy nice and usefull RED turn signals embeded on the side mirror. Wheels are ugly though. Funnily, at least two couples purchased the X-SP the day I was there. Oh, the price starting in the mid 30 grands and up.

Whew --- I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I was in Daytona for X-mas. I saw a 4Runner that said something strange on the side where the "SR5" and "Sport Edition" badge usually is. It started with an X, but it passed by me pretty quickly and I couldn't figure out what it was. I am glad someone finally posted this, cause now I realize I wasn't crazy.

The XSP didn't look much different though....

That's a $1500 discount off the package, I think the price with the discount is over $3K.

Does anyone have pictures of the seats? I was planning to do a custom leather/suede combo and would be interested to see what their version looks like in the XSP.

Thanks,
George.

the dealers around here dont have any..i would be interested to see the seats and CF interior stuff too

Here is what the embroidery and the other options look like. The truck is basically an SR5 with aesthetic extras. The exhaust is loud at low speeds but is not noticeable except when accelerating. I ended up getting the truck for just a hair over 30k, slightly more expensive than the SR5 I was looking at. 2k I think.
