Newbie/Windshield Replacement

Hey guys, I am new to the forum because I am going to be purchasing a 90-95 4runner in the next month or so. I was just wondering if you guys had a pro's/con's list of that model. Its a 5spd SR5 4x4 but it needs a new windshield and an ebrake cable to be certified. Can anyone give me an estimate on the costs of a windshield? And how much do the ebrake cables cost, I can do that install myself.

Thanks alot and I hope to use your combined knowledge to keep another Toyota on the road for as long as I can. I currently drive a 94 Toyota Tercel.

I'm the original owner of a 95 4Runner with 123,000 miles and it's been great. I've had it maintenance regularly and nothing major has needed replacing. There was a recall on the steering relay rod for some 90-95 4Runners so be sure it was/is replaced.

My windshield cracked from a rock a few weeks ago. My quote from the dealership was $400+ but Safelite and Diamond quoted $240-270. Google Safelite and Diamond... they both have an online instant quote.
