Hi T4R Members,
I have a couple questions for those of you who installed the Toytec Ultimate kit on a Trail Edition.
1) When installing the front coilovers and LR UCA's, I disconnected the swaybar links and it was a PITA trying to reconnect it. I managed to reconnect it with the help of a jack, cuss words and A LOT of patience, but I am worried about unwanted tension on the KDSS, or it causing some other unforseen damage.
Someone posted a link that explains how to disable the KDSS and allow it to articulate freely. Unfortunately, since I was unaware of this and completed it by loosening the top bolts that connect to the frame, then prying the connector on the LCA's to line up, will this affect my KDSS or anything I should be aware of?
2) I read in another document about a differential drop that needs to be installed with the Toytec Ultimate kit. I did not install this as I did not see it in Toytec's install guide.
There were 2 sets of spacers that came with the Ultimate kit; one labled for Tundras (i don't know what it was for); the other was for some sort of swaybar spacer - it was rectangle in shape, but our swaybar connections are round.
Sorry for the ignorant questions, but this has been bugging me as I read other install guides on T4R. I would like to add that an alignment was needed after my install due to my steering wheel being off centered. Since the install I haven't had any issues, yet, but I want to get a second opinion.
I appreciate any help I can get,
-Eric
