Do the SW give you plenty of space for a step? I am wanting the BB kick outs but have yet to order until I hear back from Bud that he is caught back up, but I can have Shrocks with the third support beam and powdercoat for less than the BB (shipping costs are dramatically different)

I think they offer plenty of step room. I use mine to grab stuff of the side of the roof etc. I've never had a bump-out, but I can't say I miss it. They are pretty close to the same height as the door sills though, so they do not function like a running board really well (but that's not what they were designed for anyway!)

I've been really happy with them. Powder-coat is holding up well too. On a limited you do need to request (and insist) on bolt-on gussets on all 4 corners, or you'll have a little side project pulling XREAS line out of the way. You can check my build thread for that.

Hey Brock, check out jaweinmann's pics in the lifted thread. He just posted resently in that thread so it should be in the last page. I'm looking to trim my rockers also. Might trim mine all the way up to where the fender flare is on the rockers the cut down. This way it still covers that bottom portion of the truck.

I figured you would eventually find this thread but I was just looking at your build yesterday and figured i would help the OP out :hatsoff:

The link works on mine but maybe my page layout is a bit different. oh well, now he can look at a very nice detailed post on the Nfabs and rocker panels. Cheers.
Maybe he can get some ideas from your build as well!

I just trimmed my panels to fit the N-Fab steps, however:
Instead of trimming all the way across them, I left the front and rear fender portion intact. See photos.
I'm not sure I like it yet, I may end up trimming it all the way straight across...we'll see.

Here's a really stupid question: do the fender flares for the TE go over the existing fenders on the Limited/SR5, or do they replace them?

I guess it doesn't really matter. But I ask because while I was planning to do this one day, anyway, I now have some fender flare damage to fix.

My wife has a history of backing into shi%, but only in MY car... :ybrick: And last weekend she scraped (more like "scuffed") the passenger-side fender edge on the garage door frame. So it looks like I may be going for the TE look sooner than I expected.

They replace them, you're good. She cannot give you **** for the mod now either lol

Nfab bar on SR5

I would like to thank everyone for the great tips and advice for installing the Nfab side bars. Got mine done yesterday and it looks great. Next is wheels and Tires, then a baja rack.
