Nitto Ridge Grappler?

I understand, I'm on 285 70 nitto TG now and it's just not enough tire. Was gonna do 285 75 but I'll check the 295 70 too.

The Nitto tires run big, at least the RG do. The RG is advertised as the same height but just a little wider than the KO2 however side by side it was a bit taller and a lot wider. I can say though with my 3" lift they fit perfectly with only front bumper trimming after moving the line forward.

Ok, last question(s) and I'll leave you alone about it...those are TRD Pro rims, correct? I have the TE rims...is the backspacing the same? I don't mind doing a BMC if I have to, or any other trimming really. Just want to know what I'll be facing. How do those look from the front?

They are FN Wheels FX Pro which are 17x8 with 4.5" BS and 0 offset. These tires on stock wheels will rub the ball joint area of the stock upper control arms as soon as you mount them on the truck. Basically can't be done unless you run a wheel spacer, at least in my experience.

Love these tires, but they are just soon heavy.

Each tire and wheel package weighs about 90 pounds. Wasn't a concern for me though. They look good, perform nicely, that's all I care about. Truck still has plenty of power and does just fine going down the road even at higher speeds.

I'm running the ICON stage 2 kit with SPC UCA's so hopefully rubbing there won't be an issue. Not a fan of spacers!

Edit: Thanks for the pics 2016 4Runner SR5!

You'll very likely need aftermarket wheels but post up and let us know how it goes. You're welcome, let me know if you need anything else.

I am about to move from this tire in a 285/70/17 to either 295/70/17 or 285/75/17.

Just wondering if anyone running one of these sizes of tires has any regrets? I would prefer to stay with a C load (285/75/17) but also would like to go a little wider - which the 295 is, but only in an E load (which somehow weighs less than the 285/75/17)

Anyhow, thoughts?

285/70r17 real height

Can anyone running the 285/70r17 ridge grappler’s tell me what their height is from ground up to side lug?

Have you had your 295 setup off-road yet? Be curious to see if they rub at full flex. I'm running 275 KO2s with the same wheels you have and there isn't a ton of room near the body mount at full flex. I also have aftermarket upper control arms (Icons).

I haven't not sure i'll ever really flex it out to be honest. I'm 6'2" and the lift just makes the truck more comfortable for me. I love playing in the much more than rocks, not a whole lot of flex there.

Almost went with Duratracs again. I had them on my 13 4Runner and plowed through the snow, did pretty good on mud and rocks... I had 40% left with 40,000 miles.

This time went with Nitto Ridge Grapplers 285/75/17's. So far so good!!!

These look like FN wheels? Any rubbing against your body mount at full flex off road? Are you on OEM gears?
