No KDSS in NE region?

I am pulling the trigger on a 2013 TE and did the online buying service (trucar) but just found out from the dealer that they are not offering KDSS in the new england area... I usually try to buy off the lot but not with this purchase.

Looks like I will be going a little farther afield to get what I want.

Actually, KDSS really shines in every day driving on the road. You get zero body roll from the massive swaybars. The articulation offroad only matches the regular SR5 model.

When I bought my '11 last October Boch south had 2 on the lot. Not much help now I know but it shows they were here at that point in time.

thanks guys - that is good to hear. No shortage of dealers around here.

My last three 4runners were purchased at Boch including my current '06 Sport edition. They messed up my last major service and would not correct things so I won't be going back. Good news is you can throw a rock and hit a Toyota dealership in any direction it seems in eastern MA...

and yes - I use mine off road...

KDSS for on and offroad highly recommended. It should be standard on all TE in my opinion.

Even the laziest dealer can search other areas to find what you want. My truck was found somewhere in VA. Go back to them and demand they do their jobs.

Find a better dealer... they are probably trying to force you to look only at the inventory they have access too. I'd call their bluff and give them one shot to win me back. Otherwise, move on.

I was also in the same boat. KDSS doesn't seem to exist in New England.

When my dealership did a search, there was only 1 KDSS model within 200 miles. So they did a preference order and I am still eagerly awaiting word on it. Last time I talked to them they said it was still on schedule for the beginning of November.

Can't wait until it gets here!

Bought my '12 TE with KDSS at Watertown Toyota this past January. Not easy to find in NE, but they are out there. Mid-Atlantic states like VA/MD seemed to have lots more.

There is a used one (my previous 2010 navi & KDSS) at Quirk VW for sale.....

If interested, I'll be more than happy to tell you it's non-exciting history. It's a great vehicle.

I got my '11 TE w/ KDSS via dealer swap with a LE. Vehicles were still on the boat so it cost no more for anyone transportation wise from Portland, OR. Get your dealer(s) to look at what is coming into their region. They can see by the manifest if there are TEs w/ KDSS.
