No power to Liftgate door lock, rear window/wiper/defogger on 5th gen sr5

I am having an issue where I can not open my liftgate, nor can I use the rear window or it’s functions. I did recieve DTC B1287 from my code reader which states the main body ECU is not communicating with the rear ecu.

I have changed the rear ECU, checked the fuses, checked connections and to the best of my ability check for a short and now I am waiting to reconnect my battery to see if it resets anything.

Any advice? I am pretty clueless when it comes to electrical issues, this is my first automotive electrical problem.

What year? Check Wiring harness going into the tailgate there might be broken wires due to repeated bending stress. check out the following link.
