Non KDSS sway bar disconnects (want to remove KDSS)

I am contemplating on removing my KDSS system. I don’t want to drive around without sway bars though... so for the guys that don’t have KDSS systems; are there any type of quick disconnects or anti rock systems out there?

Any other alternatives?

To remove it and add a traditional sway bar you will have to remove the full KDSS system and weld in mounts for a traditional bar.

I’m fine with removing everything including plumbing. Also fine with welding... my question was more towards a quick disconnect or anti rock option or other alternatives.

Don’t really see a point in removing if I’m just going to put on regular sway bars... that seems more limiting. Don’t want to run without sway bars yet as well.

No real quick disconnect that I know of. I do know of a defeat switch that is in the works.

Could you just open the balancing valves on the KDSS controller? not sure that gives what you are looking for just a suggestion to consider.

The rear is pretty easy to fab up mounts for your choice of aftermarket sway bar system - most of which have disconnects built in. But you'll probably need to move the spare tire out of the way.

The front is trickier. A few different versions have been custom made using the non KDSS setup.

I tend to think the best solution for the KDSS bar's harshness would be to have a pair of custom sway bars bent up that fit with KDSS but have smaller diameter (softer) bars.

What shocks and springs do you have? Why are you wanting to get rid of KDSS?

Try just removing the front sway bar and leaving the rear. I have been running this way for several months with 700lb springs on Icon shocks and it works well. I did run without sway bars for a while as I was waiting for a replacement rear KDSS bar, and I would not recommend that.

Running kings. But kinda slowly prepping for long travel with 37's.

You have 700 pound all around or just the rear?

I drove a 2017 with KDSS & 5100's for 3 years/50k miles. I traded up to a 2020 without and added Eibach Sports.
Every time I get in to the new one....it's just not the same. Not bad mind you but it was...that much better.

There’s a dude on here (dom42?) who was making a kdss disconnect switch/system. No idea where he is at with development or production though. I am interested in the system when he releases it though.
