Wil smoke have any factor with the trails? Smoke is coming from Yosemite not sure if that side of Tahoe would even have smoke.

My friend said he turned around at fresh pond back to Sac the smoke was so bad. He was going to hike, so it’s a bit different, but I’m guessing visibility is going to suck, so no great views.

If anyone wants to caravan over, I'll be at Costco gas over near the expo. If you don't have a Costco card and want cheap gas, you can use my Costco card too. I'll be there around 9:10 and head out at 9:20 sharp.

Yeah that smoke is kinda determining my decision now. I haven't run this one and hear its has great scenic like most of that area.

Report from my buddy up in Truckee.

"Thanks Len! The smoke was bad today, worse then any other day. Couldn’t see half way around the lake. If we get some wind it will push that smoke out but has been getting worse and worse over the past week"

I'm up in Dorrington and the smoke is not that bad. About halfway between Yosemite and Tahoe

The smoke looks a lot less in the picture but in person it is worst. Air quality has been pretty bad out here for the past couple of days. Not sure how much views we would get to see.

Called NFS Tahoe Basin Mgt Unit this morning and confirmed with the ranger that everything is open - so we are good to go this weekend! :rockon:
