hey mates..

I've been thinking making an trip to Washington, Oregon this winter for some fun..

the places I would like to go visit are..

I was thinking about leaving friday morning and get up there by night time..

the place I would be interested in are the Boeing tour and the fish market..

my question is, what's an good place to stay in Seattle? any hotel recommendation? any scenery sight I should take an look into? any restaurants I should go? or maybe go up to Canada too perhaps?

also, any places in Oregon I should check out on the way up to Seattle? or coming back down to Cali?

How long of a trip are you tentatively planning? What are some of your hobbies and things you enjoy with your free time? The Museum of Flight is killer if that sort of thing interests you. The shuttle simulator should be up and running by then too (it might be now, haven't checked in a while). If you're planning a bit of a longer trip, you should definitely try to head up to Vancouver or even better, Vancouver Island. Victoria is pretty sweet, but the island is gorgeous once you get outside of it.

The 101 is an amazing highway that runs along the coast. If time is on your side, definitely go that route if you can.

As far as places to stay, there's a ton of options. Just depends on your budget.

I was thinking about an weekend trip Hepar.. maybe leave early friday monring and get there by the afternoon.. my hobbies are photography, real steel, wheeling and etc....

after getting the slr.. I'm hooked on photography..

the last time I was in Canada was in 2007.. I might go up there and pay my aunt an visit..

which part of 101 should I start with? from the cali side and work my way up to Washington? or?

for hotels.. I was thinking about $150 an night.. need something nice.. cause the lady might come along..

IF you do wanna come up to Canada, Hepar is right, visit Vancouver Island. Take the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria. Much nicer city, way more laid back than Vancouver itself.

What type of photography do you enjoy the most? There's a couple standard locations here where you can get some great cityscape views of Seattle. Not to mention the endless nature shot opportunities in the Cascades and Olympics.

I'd hit the 101 up all along Oregon and up through WA until you get close to Aberdeen. Then you're going to have to cut over to Olympia. That stretch from Olympia to Seattle is going to probably be sort of a nightmare during rush hour traffic on a Friday.

With places to stay, check out the Luxury Hotel Bellevue, WA | Seattle Area Event & Wedding Venue. It's on the Eastside, but not too far from Seattle proper. Really great hotel and it's attached to one of the nicer health clubs in the area.

I'm into city life/night life.. but with the occasional nature scenery.. I would love to get an night shot of Seattle.

the hotel looks really elegant.. let see what the lady would like but I will keep that in mind..

I would love to get together with the local guys.. possibly an meet or something?

I will take an look into 101.. I haven't set an route yet for the trip but will look into it.
