Noticed Something Wrong on my Dash!Help

Hello guys..

I noticed that when I turn the car to the on position where all the warning lights lite up, the A/T oil temp light is missing.. I dont have the owners manual but I took a friends one, but his 4runner is from japan, and his manual says that only 4wd model has this light...

I have a limited 2wd, but everything from the japan model to the US model is different even the lights on dash besides he have a diesel model..

could this be a burnt bulb or we 2WD dont have this light at all?

Sounds like if you have the 2WD, you don't have this light.

There is a Sticky Thread on here with links to download owners manuals. Check there to see if a manual for you vehicle is available. Maybe google it too.

thanks for the reply, as i stated, my friends is a japan model, also 4x4, he dont have options like vdc,traction control,DAC, or anything on those lines...the dash is completly diff of the USA version..He has a limited model, but those limited are way to SR5 looked alike.
 
just read the owners manual on the website, and it doesnt states that this light is only for the 4wd models.. so I guess i have a burnt bulb or something else ...any help appreciated!
 
yep, different markets, for example his, dont comes with the painted sidesteps,roof racks,no JBL,no steering controls,no vdc,trac,dac, No dual ac temp, no a/c 110 etc..which mine have everything.. and both are limited models..

hence the diff.. and manuals are differents..

SO getting back on the question...what could the issue be? anyone experienced this?

Could you get a picture of the japanese version of the dashboard? Im curious to see how different it is.
 
the only real reason to be worried about your transmission fluid temp is if you are doing a lot of hauling. since you're in a 2wd v6, i doubt that's the case. i wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
 
Check to make sure your gas cap is on tight?? When the gas cap isn't on tight all sort of dash lights comes on.
 
ill get pics of the jap version..also, I do tow sometimes a 24 ft boat, 3 atv's etc..the thing is that I have a friend that has a SE 2wd and it has the light I think, also the JAP version manual states that only the 4wd model has the light, but on the manual here on the forums it doesnt states that the 4wd only has the light..
