NOVA/DC/MD Meet & Greet

So I've been on the forum for about 9 months now and noticed we have a lot of local folks here.

Any interest in doing a Meet & Greet somewhere after Easter to say hello, show our 4Runners off and maybe schedule a future event?

Definitely interested. I live in Columbia Heights in DC but work in McLean. Would be nice to do some kind of cookout/picnic close by.

I wouldn't be surprised about a shooting...my 4runner is so dirty right now a bullet would probably deflect off of it.

I could be up for a meet, but the 4Runner wouldn't be my first choice for taking to a car-related get-together.

Rockville here

just let me know. as long as it's a weekend i'm game

any trails we could get to close to md/va/dc ?

doesn't have to be much just something

Rockville here also.. Can't do it now, but hope we all can get together over the summer some time... Got a stock white sr5, and would like to get some advice on toning down some of the chrome and getting rougher looking wheels.

IF Green Ridge is open that is a good stock-friendly place. Only other place I have been is GWNF but that is a good 2+ hours. I THINK there may some areas out in Centreville/Manassas but I am not sure if they're public/legal.

Green Ridge ORV will be closed from April 24 onward:

Off-Road Vehicles

Currently the Poplar Lick Savage River State Forest in Garrett County and Chandler Trails in the Pocomoke State Forest, in Worcester County will remain closed. To accommodate existing reservations previously secured by riders and campers, the Green Ridge State Forest trail will open April 1 and remain open through April 23; the trail will then close on April 24,and remain closed pending the results of the upcoming forest certification audit.
From Green Ridge State Forest | Forest Service | Maryland Department of Natural Resources

Most ORV trails in MD are either closed or in the process of being closed "pending review". There are a bunch of threads on this in the local club boards, mainly fjbruisers.org (which, being LC120's, also welcome us).

ETA: Sorry to rain on the parade - pints instead then?

We did reconnoiter the GWNF trails recently, and they're fine for stock when not muddy. I reckon it's about the same distance, time-wise from a Tyson's Corner, or even Rockville meet-up.

I'd like to invite you guys to my shop in Chantilly, Va on Sunday, May 15th from 12-5. I'm new to the forum and have a 2011 Limited and a 3rd gen (still, trying to sell). Anyway, our shop is called High Tech Auto and Truck Center. We'll have free food and a bunch of stuff to giveaway. It might be a great way to meet everyone. I know it won't be a wheeling day, but it's a great time for the family.
More info on us on Facebook.

That sounds awesome! Unfortunately, I can't make it (getting grad degree from GWU that day), but I like the thought!
