November 2015 Meet and Trail Run

You guys will love this trail. Definitely not a fire road.


P.S. On the map they mislabeled the Holcomb Creek trail. It's 3N93. 3N08 only runs between 3N14 and 3N16.

We've done a couple fire roads, some blue squares and accidentally went on a black Diamond in Gorman...

But none that was several hours long...

The thing about this trail, more so dishpan springs, is that cars sometimes get stuck or breakdown which causes a wait and sometimes you will need to get out, survey, move rocks around etc.

It won't be boring!

Very true. Dishpan definitely isn't boring.

***IMPORTANT*** question to assist with our final route planning:

Who is taking a stock ride on this meet, and are you planning on doing the difficult (but doable) portions in those stock vehicles?
GVL and I are trying to get a tally on stock trucks planning on going the full route.

I am in a mostly stock TE, and I will be doing the full route.

I figured I'd be fine, thanks! GVL and I are trying to get a tally on stock trucks planning on going the full route.

Is this out of the question for a bone stock 02 4WD?

Looks like rock crawling to me

I'm not a stock TE but scared of " break downs and getting stuck" comment that said [MENTION=65101]BrianSD_42[/MENTION]

Kinda a newbie to this off roading thing. My experience is more in the road / track racing more...

I mean I come from Philippines... Mud and rain is rampant in the Island but not huge rocks and having to climb over them

Yes, since GVL rogered up to lead the pack, this is what we came up with. I definitely understand the caution. After you obtain the first "custom pinstripes" on your black truck, the others hurt less. I'm sure Brian was talking about old Jeeps breaking down, as our trucks are quite capable. None of us are going to force you beyond your comfort zone.

I don't think you'll get stuck but you will get rocked around a bit like Indiana Jones. Plus there is the chance, small I realize, that someone with a ford it dodge Durango will break down and block the trail for 30-45 mins. Standard stuff. That is what I meant by get stuck for a bit.

You won't be stuck with this great crew of trucks. And you won't break. It is just a blue trail. I'd hope for rain so it's exciting.

Aawww man ... Rain!?!? A hahaha don't you guys know "Brown Suga Melts in the Rain Baby!!!" I try not to mess with Mudd and Rain... I'll do Mudd ... I hate rain

I turn into grandpa driving in the rain... too many bad memories
