Eric, you have the info for "the CB Man"? This guy is behind BassPro off I70 and can hook you up quickly if he is open on Saturday. If not he is still a great resource for anything CB. Make sure to tune your CB. I may be able to help tune it if you get a FireStick and let me know you need some help. I have a tuner I can bring.:cowboy:

Ok since no one else will figure out where to meet I copied from trail damage
Driving Directions
From Denver, take I-25 north to the Ft. Collins exit 269B. Head west and follow signs through town to Highway 14 north. Follow the sign to LaPorte where Highway 14 intersects with Highway 287. Turn left at road 52E, marked with signs pointing to Rist Canyon (not a large sign). You will come to an intersection at 13 miles where you turn left on Stove Prairie Road 27. Continue 4 miles and turn right on Buckhorn Road, marked 44H (small sign). You will see the trailhead on the left in 1.6 miles, with an air-down area across from the trailhead on your right.
Meeting Places
If coming from Denver, meet at the McDonald's at the Longmont I-25 exit 240. If you are further north it might be
a better idea to meet at the trailhead.
We can meet there at 10am and head out at 10:30

^Up there those of us in FoCo are meeting at the Target on College at 10. You guys would be welcome to as well. Its pretty simple to get to as you just have to take the Harmony Road exit to FoCo and then turn right on College Road and it would be on your left. Obviously if those of you coming from the Denver area want to meet before you get up here thats all up to you,

Well, I'm gonna have to call Allstate tomorrow morning to see about towing it, probably to a transmission shop to get it diagnosed. No one would do it tonight, apparently every towing company they contacted said it would be too dark to see street signs since its pretty far out of the way. I left it there and TMAC110 drove me home (roommate perks). I''l update when I know any more, hopefully tomorrow.
You live and you learn, not to push things too hard I guess...
p.s. Thanks to everyone for stopping and making sure I had a plan somewhat figured out. Sounded like the reset of the trail was pretty fun!

Either tranny, T-case, or a diff is destroyed. No idea which of the three, although I'm leaning toward at least the t-case. Here's details:

Thank you everyone, great pick on the trail. I have to hand it to you all for pushing the limits, knowing when not to and then helping each other out. It was a really great day of what 4Wheeling should be. B I hope the damage is not too bad but I am guessing a trip to the salvage yard is in your future for whatever broke. I would recommend working on smooth transitions and controlling momentum that put less strain on the drive train. Its those sudden starts and stops in life that really kill ya:roadkill:.
I think that is what finally did you in. On the bright side you don't have to get that rear quarter panel fixed also, we missed that tree (by inches). Also get recovery points and gear on your list. It would have been difficult to help you even if I did have my Jeep close of which a CB distress call would have been in order. Don't worry too much. You got down safe (in reverse:wow
, you will get your rig back and running and it was a good learning experience. The best lessons learned happen in the middle of no where (we all have it happen), its just good to have friends to help.

BTW: TMach that point did not require lockers. They would have helped but the others got through without them. Look into tires and lift/articulation. That point really came down to setup and picking the right line. Lockers sound like they will cost a couple thousand for 4Runners. That same money would be better spent on better tires (I think I remember hearing you say that was already on the list) and maybe a control arm and recovery points (could have pulled you up if all else fails). Crash (and the others) went through there like butter with only a minor course correction and without lockers. On a college budget I know money is tight and I want to keep you out there with the right mods. The quarry required lockers. Eric is real good with getting deals. Maybe he can chime in with a few. One person (there are many others on this forum) I would really recommend you bend his ear is Gerdo. He is on this forum and really knows 4Runners (strengths/weaknesses) and how to drive them. I would also recommend the YotaTech guys. I have been out with them several times and while a little crazy can help with your setup.

I think you might have gotten me confused with TMAC110 who was in the red runner. I made it up to the quarry with ya and I was referencing lockers because of the quarry. Watching you run up those ledges was pretty sick not gonna lie!
