The photo above is my setup on the 7th setting with SPC tubular arms. Really enjoying it so far!:usa:
Also do we know compressed and extended lengths? Will the spindle hit the coils at full droop?

I've only had experience with the 4600 series truck shocks and car coilovers so far (PSS9's)... but they are the best mix of handling and ride I have ever experienced. Always stiffer than stock, but in many ways more comfortable (better mix of high vs. low speed dampening). I will probably be getting the 5100 series stuff all around when I replace the 4600 stuff that is on the truck right now. Realistically, I won't need the capabilities of the 6112 coilovers.Bilstein products tend to be overly stiff in my experience. Do you guys find this to be true? Question aimed at forum members, not the vendor of the product.

You might not. The Monroes may be cheap, but they don't last very long. Thankfully they take all of 30 mins to swap out.The Bilsteins up front make the Monroes I have in back feel like a Mercury Grand Marquee with blown shocks trying to run a road course. I often wonder if I even have shocks back there.

Lol, you must have gotten a crap pair. Hopefully you replaced em with something else right awayMy exact experience I had the day I installed them.
Cool, good to know.Something like a monoroe really won't compare.
By no means would I call the 6112 on 3rd gen overly stiff. The ride is very nice and matches the 5100 in the back decently. I could see where the 5160 in back when it comes out could be nice if it really does add more dampening over the 5100 in the rear.
I have ridden and driven Tacomas with the 6112 and I did think it was a little stiff so I could see where you might get that impression if you look around a bit. Maxing out height could be part of that as well. The dampening on the 3rd gen specific 6112 is very nice though. I am also only on 31's so I dont have a ton of tire to absorb things off-road. This is all on road conditions so far too, so i am sure off-road they will feel great. This is my 2 cents on your question

When I first installed the coils I still had the OEM UCA in place and at full droop the spindle/arm were very very close to the coil spring. I would say if you plan to run stock height on them you'll be fine, but if you are lifting at all get arms to be able to correct alignment and get correct geometry. Chas of MRT may have a suggestion as well and maybe the access to those other measurements from Bilstein
Thanks for the order! Glad to hear that you got them.
Are you referencing the lower bushings?
Uh oh, is this true? I was planning on installing these with my stock UCA's on the 5th or 6th perch. Chas, you got any input here? Would be great to know before several hours into the project on the daily driver.
Can we get some motherfudging ride reports? Jesum crow ....
