Very nice video. My wife found it humorous. I guess I'll just up the pucker factor and accept the fact that the jaws won't fully lock into the coil

$50 at pep boys and they will do it for you. That's what we had to do in my brothers truck

Lucky you. Pep boys said $130/ea when I stopped by. Another shop was $150/ea

To keep stock height, just keep the stock rear springs or go with 99talls.

5160s are looking like next month.

Set for September at the moment.

GMs will have a kit for 07-13 and 14+. Sorry this is taking forever! We should also have more Ford application done by September as well. We will be releasing the Frontier/Xterra 6112 in August. This should be a good seller. The production location hasn't changed on 8112. We are still going to build them in Poway. We are getting really close on these kits as well. Basically still awaiting components from outside vendors. We were originally going to build many of the 8112 components in our, in house, CNC center... but that changed due to some other projects.</pre>

Installed the set. This car drives phenomenal!! I have no idea why I waited this long to swap out the suspension. My rear oem shocks are holding up ok. They definitely need replacing but the fronts were beyond question.

I am still getting used to the 2" height.

Set at 6/7 (1.64") and got right around 1.9". Cv angles look great and the on road ride is good-firm and responsive. Much better than oem

I set a drivers side at the 7 of 9 position and passenger at the 6 of 9 position. Unfortunately it sits noticeably higher on the drivers. I should have ignored the drivers side lean theory since mine never had it to being with.
2001 SR5 3.4 4x4

At that setting, the advertised lift was 1.64" I believe. I essentially got 1.9" on both sides. And that was coming from previously installed 99' tall front coils. So i probably gained more than 1.9" compared to my 01 coils which sat much lower.

CV angles looks great and the on-road ride is firm but by no means stiff. The words are usually synonyms but in the case of handling and ride comfort they are very different. Pleased with the purchase.
Biggest chance was the body not jolting over road seams and the body roll considerably reduced. Off road review later.
Right now I have daystar 1.5" spacers in the rear and it sits about an inch higher on the front. This week I'm installing a set of OME 890s and used OME nitrochargers shocks as temps until I can splurge for the 5160s when they come out.

Yeah, I installed the 6112's about 6 months ago. Set to 7th. groove both sides. It sits pretty level left to right. I got about 2" lift at first but has settled to less than 1.5". I may have to go up one more notch.

Hey Chas I got a set of these from you and have a question about the OE bushings the instructions call for. It calls for OE tophat, OE lower bushing and OE retainer washer. I got some new KYB 5184 tophat assemblies which include a bushing and retainer stuck to the bottom side of the tophat. Are these tophat assemblies all I need, or do I need extra bushings?

Thank you for your order! On the KYB, the lower bushing is one unit with the top hat. I tried to find the schematic but could not, but did come across this diagram that pretty much sums it up.

FYI you don't need extra bushings.
New top is all that's needed with this kit
