Thanks man, aha yeah it's a ever growing addiction, I know whenever i start browsing thru others build i always get new idea's mods and new things that i want. This forum is a gift and a curse at the same time haha It never ends my friend it never ends but as long as your doing as your screen name says well then you can't go wrong :rockon:

I know i just put 33's on at the end of last summer and i'm already eyeing a set of 34.5" tires! What size tires are you running now? What are you thinking about upgrading to?

I haven't even seen mine in almost 2 months now, and I look at tires everyday. Do want 285/75/17s or 315s

Dayum, like your built ride here. I need to stop looking at what others have done to there's as all it does is make me start thinking, not done yet, need to do that too.

Here we go again, looking at bigger tires now, and mine are not worn out yet, have a rack to put the spare on if need be.

Haha i know i'm always looking at stuff online to buy! I have a list of mods and things in need to get before i go to FJNE this year and as the weeks go on the list keeps growing. I want to get 315/70/17s:bluejump: but first i'm doing gears and lockers.

Yes i want 35's sooo bad now! Especially after i add the heavy LT springs, it's gonna bring my rear up another 1" and then i'll raise the front a little more to match. My 33's are gonna look small, honestly sometimes i already think they small..

Running 32's now as the spare still fit in it's spot. Been expecting to get to 33+ at the most. Got an idea, just bump up to your next size you want and deliver the ones you have. No more eye balling needed.ray2:

I really think these trucks shine with 35's on them. It can be a pain to get the lift required, but it's far from impossible. I forget what lift you have now, going to go back and look now, but I know you have a far better suspension lift than me so it will be easier for you. I still need to hammer my pinch welds flat as they will rub a little bit. Waiting for it to get warmer!! -22 this morning, which I'm sure it wasn't much warmer, if any, for you either!

I agree i think they look perfect with 35's but yes getting the right lift is a must! I think i'll be ok as i said the back going up a little more and i'll prob crank the front up also. I only have a 1/2" BL right now which i think will be ok but worst case i can always go up to a full 1" BL. Yeah i'm right there with ya it's a pain in the ass not having a garage to be able to do work in the winter! I can't wait till the day comes when i have a nice big heated garage ray:

I'm working on the garage situation. By next winter shouldn't be an issue.

Nice that'll be awesome! I mean i have a couple buddy's garages i can use and my one buddy's shop upstate but it's not the same as having your own garage with your own tools to be able to do whatever whenever.

What kind of MPG are you getting with the roof rack, front bumper and tires? Significantly worse than stock or not anything too bad?

Also, how's the power? Do you start feeling the need to regear your diffs?

I feel like I never really got the best gas mileage with my 4runner. Of course it probably has to do with my driving style haha. That being said I probably get between 14.5 to 16 city/Hwy I think when I was stock I was getting 16 to 18 if I was lucky. It never bothered me though cause at the end of the day I didn't really buy my 4runner for the intentions of getting good gas mileage.

Power is great I haven't noticed any loss maybe a little bit in acceleration but again it's not a race car so no biggie. Ive noticed on a couple occasions getting on the highway on a slight incline the tranny searching for 5th gear but only for a few seconds longer than normal but I've also spoken to other and it seems like it might be a common this when you run a little bigger tires. Again not a huge deal could also do to the extremely cold weather some say, cause I never noticed it until the winter came and I've had my tires on since September. I do plan on re gearing and also adding F&R arb air lockers,but the re gear is more for performance off road and possibly adding bigger tires down the road.

The width of the tires with the height is what really makes it so you need either spacers or offset rims to push the tires away from the UCA and the frame. I trimmed some even with the extra 1.5" my spacers give me, but I have 35's. Was a little easier with my 33's. :drum:

It really depends on the wheels your running and offset,backspacing etc.. When i had my stock 18"s with 275/65/18s i had to run 1.25 spidertrax and had to do the inner fender mod and still rubbed in reverse ( that was also before my new suspension though), then when i put this set up on i had a little rub on the inner fender but it was more when i was backing up. I'm not running wheel spacers any more i guess these wheel/tire combo are the right set up for my rig. I've never had issues with my body mounts with either set up's, i know a lot of others tend to have issues with them but i never did.

I made a new fairing for my roof rack today. The original one had to much of a gap both above and below it.

I first went and got some regular plexi glass but after breaking it with the first couple attempts I decided to go back and get the better plexi that's practically indestructible but also double the cost but worth it. I made template out of poster board and then once happy with the shape traced it on to the plexi. Then cut with the dremel and wrapped it with vinyl. I entertained the idea of sticker bomb vinyl but because this fairing is much bigger it didn't look right so I just used matte black vinyl. I'll probably just end up stickering it up anyways. I also drilled a few more holes to mount it since its much bigger then the original fairing.

All in all I'm happy with it, there's a couple waves in it from the extra mounting screws but it's not a huge deal. Does the trick for now.

Thanks man. Definitely get the stronger plexiglass! The regular plexiglass is weak and break and cracks very easily!

There sweet wheels love em! No i'm not running spidertrax with them, they have a pretty good stance on their own. Although they would look even better with spidertrax and poked out a little bit more! Dustin [MENTION=85422]FNWheels[/MENTION] is awesome to deal with and they have great customer service i would highly recommend them for any of they're wheels!..

By the way i was going to email you about the FJNE run coming up in May, I'm going to be there for 4 day's with [MENTION=76550]cbielat[/MENTION] and a bunch of other members. It's a really cool even and as of right now i think there's close to 100 rigs registered (mostly FJ's) but still going to be a lot of Yota's! If you go back in my build thread on pg 7 you can get a good idea of the event and that was only one day i was there last year so this year is going to be bigger and better i'm sure. Anyways i plan to photograph it everyday where there so i thought it could be something cool for the Mag? Let me know what you think or shoot me a email..

Finally rotated my tires this past weekend. It was long over due I've been lazy to do it this winter in the cold! I had to use a extra small jack under the rear axle due to the long travel suspension it made it a little more difficult to get the rear tire off the ground. I also replaced the rear hatch gas struts because I started to notice this winter they weren't working as well and in some cases couldn't hold the hatch up when it was extremely cold. Easy swap out and good to go now.

ETA: Thanks for the feedback on the rims. Am ordering today. Will try them on their own before I order Spidertrax. My M/Ts have more offset, so will be interesting to see the difference.
