And after seeing yours, I really like the flush look and once I hook up the lights it'll be easier to hide the wires. I'll probably order the brackets this week.

Yeah the brackets are the way to go if you plan keeping it on full time.I'd say the only thing is before you fully tighten down the rack on the brackets is to test fit where it is and make sure you can tilt your sunroof up completely so it will go in between the bars on the rack or else one of the bars might block it from going up fully.

It's been hard modding lately with winter/weather and i only really get the use a of my place upstate on the weekends and holidays where i do most of my mods.

I live in NYC and have since 01 but i'm from upstate the capitol area and most of my family if from CT and MA so i'm all over New England a lot of the time.

I'm originally from NYC but I've been down here in Texas since '05, but a lot of family is still up there.

And if you ever switch over to BAMF sliders and want to get rid of your running boards I may be interested :nod:

Nice! I love the city. How was it moving from NYC to Texas big difference huh? I feel like every where i go it takes me a little time to adjust, it's true what they say time definitely moves faster in NYC

It wasn't too bad, I'm pretty adaptable and it's actually probably not what you would expect living down here. I definitely had a "Country" Texas image in my head but I'm more in the city area.

My order for the Armor Tech brackets just came in today!
Did you sand the brackets down at all or just used primer and then black paint? Was it both Rustoleum primer and black paint? And how many coats of each did you put on?

Also any tips you have ahead of time?

Wow those came in quick!

No i didn't sand them just primed and painted, i mean it never hurts to wipe them down with some denatured alcohol just to make sure there clean before you paint them. A couple coats of both primer and paint should be more than fine,thats what i did. Yeah i'm pretty sure it was both rustoleum primer and paint.

Also i couldn't use the washers because then my rack wouldn't fit but i think thats because i have the sport roof rack so i think you should be fine, i guess you could put them on and do a test fit before there fully tightened up.:thumb3:

Got these this week hopefully they'll be going on this weekend or earliest next week! They look top notch BAMF !!!

I'll pry throw these LCA skids on tomorrow.

Just removed the side steps

Also peeled the plasti dip off my wheels, since I put the tires on before winter it's been slowing peeling in certain places from the tire machine. Pry re do it once it gets a little nicer.

Blacked out my head lights last night. It was pretty simple and straight forward, just have to be patient and take your time! I'm very happy with the way the turned out! Here's a couple quick pics I'll take some better ones later.

LOL,, Definitely a nice little project but yes you have to take your time! All in all i should have waited until it got nicer out but i'm inpatient and have been wanting to do this for a while , I did it in the garage with a propane heater lol pry weren't the best conditions but i think they came out ok.

I left everything as is, I used VHT night shade and put a few light coats over both the clear plastic corner lens and the yellow reflector.

I did how ever run into a issue with the first coat i applied, as it started to dry it cracked. So i did a little research and some lights have that effect when using VHT if it has a silicone or a wax sealant or coating over them. I originally though it was a temperature issue. I ended up having to wet sand it off and re applied a few light coats and it worked much better,then i wet sanded the other clear lens before and the VHT worked much better on it,, Its not perfect but i'm pretty happy with it!

Got my BAMF sliders put on today and I threw on the LCA skids while they where being welded on! Couple quick pics I'll take some better ones soon.

Went wheeling today in RI with a bunch of guys from Northeast Toyota 4x4 and Tacoma World. It was a pretty good turn out, we had a lot of fun! Here's a couple pics from the day, I have a lot more vids from my new Go Pro but I haven't uploaded them yet.

Re plasti Dipped my wheels today! Ran into a little rain so I had to make do lol but I got it done! I love the blacked out look, missed it the last couple months!!
Mean while my racks off the truck and at my buddies shop getting the tabs welded up for all my lights,, should have them mounted and wired in a couple of weeks!!!

Haha Gotta do what ya gotta do,, I don't have a garage at my mother in laws in Mass and i was already two wheels in when it started to rain lightly soo there was no turning back at that point! Or else i would of had two blacked out wheels on the driver side which would of looked retarded and it's supposed to rain for the next few days soo :rain:...

Mounted my Highlift in the rear near the tailgate to have somewhere to keep it out of the elements when I'm not using it or out on the trail. Very easy install, a couple bolts,washers and wing nuts and drilled two holes in the cargo shelf and done. Nice little in the truck secure high lift mount !

And the mount I have for my rack which I'll have to move now that the lights are going on because it will be in the way so I can either mount it on the in side of the rack or the rear.
