NYC-Runner Build Thread

looking good!

can you post pics on how you run the wires for the lights with the sport edition rack?

Yeah i can post pics after it's done to try to give you a good idea, but i'm not doing it myself it's big job so i'm having this guy i know do it for me. I'm pretty sure he's going to have to drill a hole and run all the wire thru the stock roof bar towards the back and then drop the headliner and run everything to the front. It's a lot of wiring, i have 7 lights going on the roof rack and 2 more underneath the rear bumper that are going to be connected to the reverse lights but also to a separate switch, all being run and connected to 4 separate switches.

Picked up my RCI skids from the GB Thursday night and painted them yesterday probably would have mounted them yesterday as well but when I was removing my front stock skids the last bolt I went to take out snapped ?! Which became a huge PITA!! Soo after drilling and dremeling I got the rest of the bolt out and got the skids mounted up today !!!

I love that LC! That's my next purchase and in the very near future. I'm just trying to decide if I want to go with an 80 series or a 100 series?

Looks like you guys had a blast up there! Great pictures, man!

It was a great day, some very challenging stuff and we only ran the trail the one way because we got a late start. I can't wait to go back!

Yeah that LC 80 is a beast and so was that first gen! They both pretty much went thru everything or over everything like a walk in the park. It's funny you say that because i found myself web shopping for them last night haha of course in the future for me too! Either that or a 85 first gen with a straight front axle like the one in the pic :thumb3: But i don't know enough about the LC's yet so i have to do my research, all i know is after i saw the one the other day i fell in love!

Picked my roof rack back up today , ended up painting the whole thing before I mounted all the lights up.The tabs for the front light bar are a little different from what i originally wanted which makes the light bar sit up a little bit higher, i wanted it to sit as flush as possible on the top of the rack but my buddy told me he did it that way because it was the best and most secure mounting option for the light bar,,it's not a huge difference so no biggie. Over all i'm really happy with how it turned out!!! All mounted but not wired up yet, hopefully this week coming ! A couple quick cell pics I'll take some better ones over the weekend.

Haha ,,, It's a Rola rack with extension but i had my buddy weld tabs for the lights,,The lights aren't wired up yet, hopefully this week! As far as the lights on the front i have a 40" single row 240w spot/flood combo which i got from exploration outfitters but i found them selling them on ebay for a little cheaper than on their website,, and the i got 8, 6" 18w flood pattern that are mounted on the sides and rear and 2 that are gonna go under the rear bumper, going to do 4 separate switches for everything.. I'm going to do a full write up on everything once complete in another thread i started a while back (rola rack light bar options) i think that's the one

:)

Looks good bud.

Thanks :thumb:

Ride looks awesome. Can we see a night time pic of the lights on the basket at some point? Where in CT were you guys wheeling?
