Hey, How can i use that muffler, to put it sidewars directly behind the rear passenger wheel? were you able to do that with the exhaust tip alone?
Also, how is it that your rear tow hitch is so hidden? I like it because you can only see the hitch part that comes out... On my 2008 sport edition, you can see all of the hitch, and the bars coming to the rear of the 4runner, which i dont like too much.

On the trailer hitch question, he has a V6 and as such has the smaller hitch which only connects to a small cross member, you have a V8 if I recall correctly and as such you have the heavier and IMHO a much better hitch with a higher tow rating which attaches to the outside/main frame rails.
But since you don't like it I'm sure you could convine someone with the V6 hitch to trade hitches with you, what you have is sought after by those of us who do tow often if we don't already have the V8 hitch.

Wow I Just skimmed back thru my old build :sadwave: Soo many memories, bandaids and curse words haha Good times! I still miss this truck at time. And you guys have soo many more emoji's over here lol I made a build on IH8mud,well not much of a build really since all of the hard stuff was already done on this truck when got it, mostly just wheeling pics and some mod updates here and there.Not really as active on there :shrug:
I came back to by to get a couple references for when I built the trailer.
Been going strong in the 80 and of course have put my own personal touches on it since I've had it and wheeled the crap out of it, broken some stuff, laughed/cried, more curse words and have learned a lot and now trying to figure out which level I'm going to take it to next? 3link or full Wonton swaps :decision: LOL It took me a while to learn how to wheel it. Such a different animal from the 4runner bigger, a little clunkier but such a beast, stout AF and still amazed at some of the stuff I've wheel and gotten through. Still cruises nice on the highway doing 70-75 all day. Every vehicle has it's pros and cons though so trying to iron those out now..
Anyways thought id say what's up and throw a few pics up of the 80:lookout::uzi::rockon::banana: Miss these Emoji's

I was actually going to hit you up this summer because there was a possibility of heading down to visit my sister and SC and was going to try to do a run at Uwharrie again, Andddd then the summer ended lol Yeah I haven't been as active on the forums as much either, also Muds just the the same :moping: Yeah man been trying to as much as I can but you know how that goes, Work,family, broken stuff... Anyways yeah everythings good man, Hope you and yours are doing well as well man!
Also this coming year we are going to plan a down south excursion. Probably head down and hit up Windrock TN for a few days and then loop around and back up and hit up Uwharrie for a day or so. I'll hit you and see if you guys are around and want to wheel..

I came to this thread for snorkel info - didn't find much, but I did find a great read. Binged all 48 pages, and really enjoyed seeing the build progress, especially the side aspects like your welding work. Living in Michigan there isn't a lot of legit wheeling to do (we have tons of legal trails, but they're easy for the most part), but I'm definitely inspired by what you've been able to do with your rig. Thinking about hitting up the east coast (Rausch Creek and up) for a trip in a couple years thanks to you. I was really sad at the end to see that you sold the rig (same thing happened with my favorite Pathfinder build when I was in that community, darn it!), but I'm glad to see you stayed with a Toyota instead of switching over to a Jeep like too many misguided souls do. :rip: Your build has given me a lot of inspiration for lots of things, can't wait to fix my frame so I can move on to the exciting stuff and see what this platform can do for myself! :reddance:

Grill looks great - nice work!
But also really love the black housing headlights. Those were opened up and painted inside? Can you point me to more info on what you did or purchased?

Appreciate the note - was sorta hoping he might still get notifications for the thread and maybe reply. Just getting into the 4Runner forums and liked his headlights - looks like the 'Joey' mod from the Audi community. Most of the headlight mods I've come across are too 'buggy' looking for my personal preference.
And dang - half gallon a day is indeed a lot of milk!! What goes well with that much milk. I'm assuming you weren't eating lots of cookies while working out!
