2004 sr5 v8 motor. Pulled engine codes p0031, bank 1 sensor 1. I need help locating where this sensor is located? I saw a 2007 diagram show it to be on drivers side wheelwell before the cat. Is this correct for 2004?

Thanks for the help. I was going to tackle this myself but found a shop to do the o2 sensor for reasonable price. The check engine light is now off (I'm assuming they cleared it) but the vsc trac lights never turned off with this. Anything clue why these lights would not be reset as well? mechanic just threw his hands up and claimed not his fault/issue.

If the battery has been run low or disconnected, then the ZPC (Zero Point Calibration) has most likely been cleared. This is common on the '03-'04 4th gen 4Runners and was corrected in the '05+ models.

If you search for "Zero Point Calibration" you should find some threads on the forum on how to perform it and/or some how to's on Youtube as well.

This would be the simplest and most common reason for just those lights to be on.

Post Note-
Sorry about the delayed response, was on a Toyota120 camping trip.

Ermmm i think there is a mix up somewhere, i think bank 1 is passenger, bank 2 drivers.
blackworks, pls chime in, i am trying to resolve a p0174 on my trunk, and have been focusing on the drivers side all along without success

I do believe you're correct....for the V6, bank 1 is on the passenger's side....but for the V8 bank 1 is on the driver's side, sorta confusing for Toyota to make it different for the 2 engines, BUT someone correct me if I'm mistaken!
BlackWorksInc or anyone else that knows for sure??
