i dont think its a fix it now thing. its mainly an emissions thing. i sure your MPG will go down a little if that but if you leave it going to long the cat my die
 
I kind of look at it as something you should just fix because it is ridiculously easy to do. Like two bolts and clipping a wiring harness in. I got a Denso one from rockauto for $55.

No Sir, not me. I'm done with my handy work on this thing. It's 300 miles away in the cold country of Arizona. My 21 year old mechanically challenged college student is going to tackle it this time. But if it isn't a "do it now kind of job, it won't get done til I hound him.....

So Matt, since you're reading this from your computer, go to RockAuto.com, buy the sensor and install it.
