Ok, so I just finished installing my new exhaust (Walker Quiet Flow SS) and tailpipe and replaced the downstream O2 sensor in the process. First off, I would not recommend the Walker setup. The flanges did not line up very well and leaked pretty bad without some modification, the O2 sensor stud was also crooked and had to be bent to allow me to put the sensor on. The welds were also pretty poor.
Second, and on to the subject at hand, the old O2 sensor that I pulled out rattled like a broken light bulb. The new one did not. Is it safe to say that the old one crapped out? The reason that I ask is because, if the downstream one was totally gone, then the upstream one can't be in much better shape.
I didn't change that one because the nuts are stuck on there and I really don't want to shear the studs trying to get them off. If it is likely cooked though, I am going to give it a go.
