occasional Air Compressor

I just need a simple 12v air compressor, usually in the garage when I see a low tire or winter time and the spare needs a little air. I see the MV-50 for $50 at Q Industires reconditioned site. I did a search but most where on board installs or custom installs. For around $50, can I do better than that?

I have the MV50 for OBA, but its pretty good even without a tank

I'll second the props for the MV-50--I have one, and it does surprising well. I used to use it to air up my 35's after wheeling, and it only took about 2-3 minutes or so to go from 15 to 30+ for each tire. For the price, it's hard to beat (heck of a lot better than those dollar-store clunkers for $20!).

I have a cheap Green Slime 12V portable I got for like 50 bucks @ Wally World that works great.. I've had it for 3 years now and use it in both the Land Cruiser and the Runner.. Works everytime and is very compact.. Of course it's only an emergency situation compressor since I don't do any rock crawling or anything but I've used it quite a bit.

I burn out an MV50 each trip from airing up tires. Takes a helluva long time for 35's. The only reason I still use the compressor is because it has a 3 year warranty and I can swap it out each time I burn it up.

There's a write up on here to take it apart and make it better, but I just swap it out.
