LMAO. Somebody had to say it.
I run 12 PSI and will drop it to 8 PSI when needed. That's without beadlocks. I've never rolled a bead or slipped a rim.

These E rated tires are max pressure rated at 80 max psi cold and it is not uncommon for folks to run them in the 40-50 psi range. I run my 265/70 R16 C rated tires at 35 psi. It's all about rating, load capacity and contact patch.
I can experiment with 35 psi this week in the 32s and see how it feels.
With my luck I would be the one in a million person to have a deflated tire fail on me in the middle of nowhere; getting home is still my highest priority

It's really just the contact patch we care about for performance and longevity of tire wear.
We care about the tires rating, which is it's load capacity, wheeling only in relation to it's ply count. We want more ply both in the tread and in the sidewalls. I wouldn't even consider wheeling on a tire with a 2 ply side wall. There fine for fire roads but get into any rocks and you have a really good chance of cutting a sidewall.

If you get the air compressor and a ratchet strap you shouldn't have to worry about losing a bead.
My starting point for offroad is 15 psi and I adjust from there. You get a lot more grip. We have people come out with the club that argue with us about airing down. So we usually let it go until they get stuck. Then we make them air down and many times they drive right out of where they were stuck.
Without beadlocks I would consistently go below 5psi for snow, but you have to be smart and try to avoid lateral loads. Non-snow I usually stop at the 8-10 range.

Did some chalk testing last night and 37 PSI looks to be the winner for highway driving

That sounds more reasonable. A 3rd gen just isn't that heavy compared to the load capacity of E-rated tires. Now, if you were towing a 10k lb trailer with a diesel 1-ton, that's a different story.

3. You have to install it correctly and live with it's quirkiness (clicking, no more driveline freespin, tire pressure balancing, etc)
I will go out on a limb to say my truck is way more capable in 2WD than a 4WD with open diffs, in some circumstances because I have true 2 wheel drive, but without Lo Range and front meats to pull me along it's still a push you up hill truck lol
For offroading, I find a lift (shocks and springs) and bigger tires, all equaling more clearance, and maybe some armor, way more critical than driveline, but the locker really works!

I have the ARB quick and easy deflator and it is definitely worth the cash. Not too expensive but definitely not cheap.
Lately I run 35psi in town on D rated 285s. On the trail I air down on a case by case basis.

I will chop down that limb anytime you want to wheel with me. I will keep my rig open/open but will use 4x. 2 lbs of whole bean medium roast coffee shell be my wager. lol

LOL. I'm not barking. I'm offering a friendly wager. One that I think would be fun. I've offered to take you up some trails that I'm pretty sure your 2wd locked would be fine on. If it's not I can always give a quick assist.
There are other trails that an open/open rig in 4Hi would be able to do that a 2wd locked rig would not. That's my wager with the coffee. Next time your in Bishop look up Black Sheep Coffee Roasters. It's a local coffee roaster that is really good.

They're both good. So is the Alabama Hills Cafe. It's tucked a block off 395 on Post St. It used to be uncrowded. They have damn good food and the word got out. I blame Yelp and social media for me having to wait in a line. I hate waiting and I hate lines. Put them both together and I'm screwed. lol

Bummer, I blame the internet
Still Life Cafe used to be much better when it was at Olancha Junction like 10+ years ago, today it's in Independence and it's nothing special
